I've been blessed with standby flying this year, so my gal and I decided yesterday to check out London this weekend (we live on the east coast). Anyway, during this trip, we are using the myvegas dinner reward which includes $25 (where is my pounds button?) promo chips for both of us, along with about $125 in other gaming vouchers from myvegas.

I noticed that neighborhood has 4 other casinos. We are only there for 48 hours, so we don't intend to actually gamble but if any of these places happen to have good new member offers, I'd consider playing. Anyone know of what might be available? Their websites didn't have a lot of information.

I assume you're going to The Hippdrome. I've looked at going there in the fall when we visit London en route to South Africa. I'd be interested in the 'value' of the MyVegas coupon/s and the casino in general. Fyi, Matt Bridger says it's quite small.

I wouldnt hold your breath on new member offers over here, youd be lucky if they give you a free coat check :haha:

UK casinos dont really go in for freebies on sign up, they figure if your signing up your there to gamble. I occasionally get some £5 - £10 free play vouchers from the linked CET casino a few doors down from the Hippodrome, sorry the name escapes me at this moment, but thats only if i put in some play in a particular month

C.J's is correct you won't get anything, however, the Caesars owned hotel, 10 doors down from the Hippo does tier match with Caesars USA if you speak to the right person!, they matched my 7 Stars to their highest card and that gives you access to their very nice VIP pit where you will get free drinks and food.

Please don't expect anything special from any of those 4 hotels, they are tiny compared to any casino in the USA.

PS, here's the £ symbol in case you need it again and have fun when you are over ;-)

The myVEGAS rewards at the Hippodrome are probably the best value left on that whole site. Sounds like you have them all worked out already.

Casinos are small compared to US. No comped drinks. Odds on most games are at least as good, if not better than US eg always 3:2 blackjack, predominance of single zero roulette. We have no video poker and slot numbers are heavily restricted.

Hippodrome does have two craps tables down on lowest level. The only place in the country to have more than one table in the same casino. Craps is v rare to find over here.

Different experience entirely to going to a large Vegas casino but can still be v enjoyable given correct expectations.
