    Howdy folks,

I have just been contacted by an MGM Grand Casino Ambassador offering help on making any future trip arrangements.

What exactly is a Casino Ambassador? What should I expect from them?

MLife Platinum but not high roller by any means. 2 trips totaling 24 nights this year (we go and we stay!) split between MGM and Aria. 97.8% slots.

Sounds like a marketing rep similar to what Caesars properties (CET) have.

If that's the case, then they are mostly a convenience for trips where you want to book multiple components (room, shows, restaurants) in advance and don't feel like doing it yourself.

I haven't used any from MGM, but the CET ones don't have any extra authority to sweeten offers or to really do anything you can't do yourself.

Yeah, sounds like a glorified host's assistant who would likely handle any easy stuff like reservations but would pass any requests costing the resort money on to the host for approval.

When you think about it most resorts only have a handful of hosts who probably get inundated with requests daily - this ambassador probably allows them to delegate the less important stuff while still making you feel taken care of.

we had one contact us too from MGM. must have been a turn over or something happening there because we dealt with a different person then got handed off to this new person. they offered to make any arrangements for us and took note of an upcoming trip booked at a different mlife property. they were able to sweeten the deal and we switched to MGM so they seem to have some discretionary comp abilities.
