Yeah me too, but not holding my breath! Will give it one more go tonight.

I nearly skipped the Flamingo habitat when i couldn't find it, but i pressed on & eventually found my way. Very cool. I definitely needed to get away from the crappy pop music for a bit & get back to nature, or at least the Vegas version of it!

Got my Power Pass. Missed Planet Ho restaurant (where i had to get the pass ) despite walking right past it. Visited the Clinically Depressed Animal Habitat at mirage. All the animals were just showing us their asses for the most part, but if i was them I'd do the same.

Then I went to the Marvel exhibit at T.I. It was pretty impressive. A must do if you're into that. I know very little about it but i wanted to see all the gear up close. Glad i went. They give you this interactive devise but i didn't do that part - I'm on vacation! Not taking a test lol.

At el Segundo Sol now. This prickly pear margarita is pretty great! [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Ok, clawed back some money from everyone's favorite casino mogul Steve Wynn. Then i went downtown- what a great tour! Hot as hell and i saw some very sad souls, but i learned a ton. Will write more later. Tried to find a quiet spot but got seated next to the world's loudest bridal party. Oh well, there's a.c. at least.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Ok, at the airport now listening to podcasts & waiting on the always late flight home. I clawed some more back at Cromwell pai gow, but I'm not foolish enough to press my luck. I was happy to claw back half. They had a live band which was nice.

Overall a great trip. The club kids annoy me, and not just cuz I'm getting older. They seem empty and gross (a bunch of males walked in to the ladies room at Cromwell, for example, the floor guys went crazy ) and their music is terrible! Once my friends & i all conferenced about going to a club, we realized that we each thought the other wanted to go to a club when in fact none of us wanted to go. We are much more Frankies Tiki Room people.

Anyway, im glad i tore it up the last day. I wanted to go to the Bellagio art gallery but i was just too tired at that point - not so much the walking, but the navigating the casinos is what gets me. At least i saw the conservatory & that sculpture set up!

My final "salad" (never seen so much salami in a salad lol )was from wolfgang puck in Crystals. I had planned on using a myvegas b1g1 drink for an extra moscow mule, but the bridezilla party was just too much. Ended up just getting a lyft to the airport. Had a glass of wine, Ethel M. Mars was still open so i got some chocolate for home (omg the prickly pear dark chocolate - yum!) and well here i am. I will share some final thought after a decent nights sleep. Anyway, thanks for reading![IMG][IMG]

I need one of those for my collection. I keep looking at all the rummage/estate sales but so far no luck.

Nice to hear you clawed some $$ back!! Thanks for taking us along....

I like when folks give some impressions at the end of their trip - I have contemplated the club but at my age I think the club goers would get on my nerves....lol

Ok I had a solid nights sleep and I am back to the world of work, appointments, chores, and pet hair. Final thoughts & photo dump.

Overall it was a good trip. I sustained modest gambling losses but that hasn't happened in a while & I managed to get the message the universe was sending & didnt make it worse. It was great to catch up with old friends & the terrace was an excellent feature of the trip. I should have extracted more value from the Vegas Power Pass but all the places i went with it were great, especially the Pop Culture Tour. I feel like I saw all the stuff the downtowners mention in their reports. It was cool! Some sketchy people, but they seemed to be cowed enough to mind their own business. Id love to give downtown a spin one of these days.

I really liked the Cromwell. Table games i could afford and the casino size is manageable. I think it might be good for a winter stay.

Mandarin bar might have been better later in the trip when one is starting to get Vegas-itus. Nice chill place that reminds you that you're a person not a walking dollar sign. Best crafted cocktail too.

In the future i think i will avoid weekends. Not as many bridal parties & club kids. I don't get the toddler-like behavior (saw one "man" walking all over Cosmo holding is shoe for over 30 minutes, his friends thought it funny but it just looked dumb ).

I am looking at mgm signature or elara as future possibilities. In these days of uber & lyft. I don't mind being away from the action a bit.

So that's it! No trip until 2018 most likely, where i will end up is anyone's guess! Thanks for following along - i enjoyed writing the report [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
