I have been getting my rooms comped by one of my vendors last few years but never noticed resort fees.

I don't know the exact date, but it's been going on for about two years.

CET took a poll and guests overwhelmingly voted in favor of a resort fee (now around $32 with taxes) instead of paying for things like wifi, and local phone calls. Guests also prefer to pay for parking since it keeps out the riff raff so the $5 parking coupon is just our way of saying thanks. One respondent was quoted "we feel that CET properties Atlantic City should treat guests the same as those in Las Vegas".

What really ticks me off is that Borgata now charges resort fees on all comped rooms regardless of tier level. Still no resort fees for diamond at CET properties.

But if you are Diamond at a CET property, you are charged for wifi access, $12 or more (?).

The Borgata charges a $15 resort fee.

We've never paid for WiFi at Harrah's. Always been free for us.

Harrahs will probably be our choice it is a nice place we always like it. Would prefer one on the boardwalk but they are almost double what Harrahs is. AC isn't that big to get around but waking up and going right to the boardwalk will be nice.

Actually the resort fee at Borgata is $22 and change. Just stayed there last week and some tax was added.

Have not been to Borgata since early spring and they did not charge a fee on my comped room then.
Going this weekend and was not expecting a resort fee charge since host made my reservation.
Never paid one in Vegas at any property. This sucks if they are charging fees on comped rooms.PGP at work.

I think ZeekM is correct. Its $15 for the fee. You might be seeing the $5.00 fee the city/state collects. You have always had to pay that on any room in AC for as long as I could remember. But it is not kept by the resort like their fee.
