yes they want total coin in and coin out.

If you have a loss, you can deduct against your withholding.

Not sure how the system works, but reading through some of the last posts...you filed in early 2015 and some of you have waited a year to get your money and some are still waiting?

I haven't received 2014 yet. I did get the 180 letter in the mail to the correct address. Having moved, was worried they didn't acknowledge the new address. I was trying to find another similar post regarding our returns and can't find it. (I had posted about emailing examples of returns for some who'd like to do their own returns as it's easier to do your own return if you see an example). Someone answered back..."YOU CAN EMAIL IN A RETURN?"..I corrected the poster and apologized for perhaps misconstruing (that's a good word) my intent. Anyways, just wanted to let that person know, that when I did call IRS a month ago looking for WHERE'S MY RETURN, she did ask the following question for verification purposes. "HOW DID YOU SEND YOUR RETURN? BY EMAIL OR MAIL?"....so I guess there IS an option to email your return. Whew....finally settled that off my conscious.

Yes, well, ummmm, that number looked so big it didn't seem right to enter it. Hubby will be horrified when I put in the correct numbers this year! I know that the net numbers were all correct, still ended with a loss, so will further post if I should get some further info.......

Correct! So In my case, I had a handpay in Feb 2014 and taxes were deducted immediately. Filed early 2015.....now March 2016 and still waiting! Over 2 years, haha! Crazy!

We're in exactly the same boat as you. No letter asking for another 180 days and still no money from RMS :(

Yep, I filed about 8 or 9 returns around this time in 2015. We've received 3 cheques plus letters that say 'suck it, your refund is delayed 180 days' in November.

Heard from RMS today that they spoke to the IRS regarding my return and they will release the hold but they said it will still take 6 - 8 weeks for their system to be updated to show the payment release date. At least there's some movement now!

That's why I thought it had stopped working for me. Maybe it doesn't matter what year it's for as long as you have a refund owing?

So got a letter from the IRS disallowing (one of the ten 1042-S that were sent down) on my wife's return. From what I can decipher is that they asked the casino to verify the 1042's and that one of them was not reported by the casino to the IRS. Anyone else encounter this?
