Radio edits will sometimes cut the song for time instead of letting the song end with a fade out.
Yes, I Can Feel It by The Kingston Trio
There are two versions. This one ends with “asunder.”
Many songs may be identified by a word or phrase unique to that song. "Distant thunder" is not such a phrase.
yes, I am finding that out --- there are almost 5000 songs with those words --- I think I will only find it if I hear it again and can catch the title- or the singer -- or another line of lyrics!
no not this one...but thanks
The Cascades. Listen to the falling rain. Or Riders on the Storm the Doors.
Imagine Dragons Thunder?
Kesha Chasing Thunder
maybe look up that radio station in philly and see songs on playlist or last played most keep a record on the website

I will do that... WOGL 98.1 philly...
It's less useful in a car setting, but if I am at a restaurant or bar and hear a song I like, I use the Shazam app to tell me the name of the song and artist.
This. I will add that you can add Shazam to your iphone control center for easier access.
@nancyf - I’m wondering if you can tell us when you lived in NJ/Philly - that could help us narrow things.
Also what does “oldie” mean? I’m in my mid 50s, so oldies to me is anything from the 70s and prior. However, the 80s were a long *ss time ago.
I think of oldies as anything from 1965 ... I moved from NJ 5 yrs ago..
Ugh… @nancyf - I give up. I’m taping out
this list EVERY song they play/played .. so hopefully scrolling through will find it
last ditch effort is just calling them . lol
thank you so much for your help... I don't blame you for giving up
