It's pretty solid.. IIRC all 3:2, (non-weekend) $5 mins available most of the time, Free bet, Buster BJ, other sucker bets, if you want,
It's maybe half the tables, some with higher limits with most of the others being carny poker variants.
high limit has a great straight up game usually $25 min (heard some days $15), has that DAS that Boyd won't give me.
Also they really don't want you taking pictures in the pit, (I really just wanted to catch the sucker bet odds), but HL not only let me take one of a hand, but had the dealer recreate it so I could.

Pretty decent craps crews too, if they can hear you above the music.

No matter where though, cocktail service, IMO is always slow.

the suite is a lock over the other rooms, but non smoking.

Agree with all of this, except the cocktail service. I've never had an issue with their cocktail service. I love their staff from top to bottom.
I rarely play BJ anywhere else; the rules are about as good as you can get on low limit tables.

Me neither...except for one time several years ago...I was playing at around 7:30AM, and the pit-critter ended up having to go behind the bar to fix my drink for me... no bartender and no CW to be seen anywhere....but hey - at least the pit-critter took care of me...when I went to hand him a couple of tokes, he told me to just bet it for the dealer...and I did...and won!

I can't stand the head pounding music and the girls are not of the quality of 5 years ago.

$10 min craps smacked me around a handfuls of hours ago. If you aren’t standing right next to the dealers, odds are you need to yell a few times for them to hear it over the music.

IIRC bj mins were all $15, with a $10 min buster BJ up.

I stil say cocktail service is slow, and I don’t drink those stone delicouses all that fast.
My two favorite dealers were on though, Al and a BIG slicked back haired guy I forget right now.

I've stayed at the Gate over a dozen times. The rooms are small but clean and the beds are comfortable. No coffee maker, but there is an in room safe. I would advise to keep the curtains closed during the day during the warmer months. The windows are single pane glass and the sunlight can heat up the room quickly when the temps are in triple digits; the windows do open up, however. The bathrooms are notoriously small; hard to get more than one person in at a time. Managing the water temperature in the shower is an art form; especially in the late mornings. You either have cold water or scalding hot water; hard to get a comfortable in between sometimes. I suggest getting a room towards the back of the hotel and on at least the third floor. Rooms towards the front and on the second floor can have a problem with FSE/casino noise. There are soda/ice machines on each floor I believe.

Table minimums generally are at the $5 level during the day and most early weekday evenings. Weekends/holidays evenings will be at $10 level. The bartop VP paytables are not great, but there are several machines around the corner from the main pit area that offers 8/5 bonus poker with progressive payouts. CW service can be a problem when the casino is busy. The bartenders are a great bunch, especially, Valeria, Alesha and 'Spider'. I generally sit on the end seats at the bar, which I call the Muppet seats. You can play VP and still have a great view of the dancers in the pit area without having to look over your shoulder. The female dealers in the evening are pretty much friendly and entertaining. Their skill level can vary; I've had some dealers that were pretty "green" and have had to watch that their addition was correct at the BJ tables. A little patience sometimes goes a long way. The craps crews are good guys, but I've run into a couple of box men that were borderline jerks.

The hotel desk clerks are helpful and friendly, but sometimes it is difficult getting an early check in. They will gladly store your luggage in their storeroom; I've done this several times and never had a problem. The valet staff couldn't be better; dropping off and picking up my vehicle is fast and easy...never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes for my car. They do have a self parking lot across the street from the valet lot for hotel guests; you need a room keycard for free access.

Love that pic. I like my GG crowded, fun, and boozy. I think that pic from the end of the bar captures this well.
