on the Strip that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I like the south end?Four Corners, but anywhere on the Strip will do.

Stripsteak is pretty good; at the other end, Circus Circus and Bazaar are great as well (the latter is one of my favorite places in Vegas). But if you're trying to avoid paying a lot, that's going to be tough on the Strip.

Any of the big name steakhouses will be expensive…I have had decent steaks though at restaurants like Nine Fine Irishman paired with a Guniess.

Slightly off strip but Ellis Island has incredibly reasonable steak dinners. No one will ever confuse it with places like Old Homestead but then again the bill won’t resemble it either

Just about anything that serves good steaks in the Strip area will be high to very high in price.

A good under-the-radar place is Golden Steer, just west of the Strip on Sahara . Very old-school Vintage Vegas (tm) ambiance. IIRC, the prices are reasonable when compared to the "usual suspect" higher-end casino steak houses.

Off the strip but reasonable is The Angry Butcher at Sam's Town. Great food there.

I'd second Ellis Island. It is just one block off the strip. If you register for a players card while there, you get a huge steak, big baked potato, string beans, and big salad...all for $9.99. I could not finish my meal and I started out pretty darn hungry. I think this pic was after I had already dug into the steak pretty good. I ordered this steak cooked at medium and it was perfect. Side bonus: while there you can get in some $5 craps and 3:2 blackjack. Warning: This is not a fancy place. Think of it as a dive bar that serves steak. The other side of the restaurant is more like family dining. I hear the ribs are good. I never would have made the trek, but I wanted to try out the karaoke. The food ended up being a nice bonus.

Ellis island is great. Enjoy walking there and burning everything off. Grand lux cafe in Vention is cheap and good too.
