If not.... what is available for a discount for someone traveling solo?

I believe the coupon will say on it '2 for 1 or 50% off single diner' if you have the option to use it for 50% off. I'm sure someone else will chime in with a more substantial answer. You can also look into the LVA coupon booklet which does have a lot of coupons with this option on them. www.lasvegasadvisor.com Their coupon booklet comes with their annual membership.

I think some places will actually honor them as 50% even though it only says "2 for 1" -- so it would be great if we could compile a list of those that will accept a 2for1 as 50% without it explicitly stating it!

Great idea! I am anxious to see which places that would be.

yes, that would be a great idea to compile that list!! as always, it never hurts to ask. if you can ask the cashier before standing in a long line, well then just ask. if they say no, then eat elsewhere.

If you can't get a full list compiled, and you probably can't, I would bet that you could use the LVA list as those buffets that would let you use the ACG coupons as 50% off.

No, many of the 2 for 1's won't allow a 50% for 1. That's why I don't buy the ACG anymore, doesn't benefit solo travelers.

I haven't had any problems using a ACG 2 for 1 buffet coupon with just me, i usually say my girlfriend got sick and won't be going to any buffets anytime soon and they take it no problem...

Cool! And they just let you take 50% off instead? Do you remember which places you did this at?

I have used them many times at many buffets, last trip I even used a MyVegas buy 1 get 1 free at Belagio and they had no problems with my "sick girlfriend reason" and didn't charge me anything, I was quite surprised...
No problem at MSS last trip either.
They normally just charge you at a 50% rate

What about downtown spots..... Magnolia's & Golden Nugget Buffet??

Magnolia's has always been easy to use 2 for ones at and Golden Nugget I don"t know because you would have to let me in for FREE before I would go there.

What about 50% off though? That is the original question. Also, Golden Nugget is only good for eating, not gambling. Their breakfast buffet is quite nice, actually!

I meant that it was easy to use a 2 for 1 with just one person (for 50% off), I normally go to Vegas alone and I have used these at Magnolias every trip, as the Four Queens is my Gambling Home base

I realize rhis thread is two months old but I have never had success asking to use a BOGO at 50% off for just myself. Perhaps because I've only tried on the stuffy Strip

I am going in Feb. and so far I see that only Magnolias will honor a BOGO coupon. Good thing I have food credits with the D and the Boyd properties. Guess I will eat there, unless someone has another suggestion for the solo traveler.
