Does anyone have any info on Cafe Americano and Ramsey's Pub & Grill? We're trying to decide which to eat at on one of our 2 nights that we need late dinners.

Based on past responses here - Ramseys Pub gets some hard hits. We have been there 2-3 times and enjoyed it. Basic quick food. When you get there, walk buy each and scan the atmosphere and menu - and double check late night hours.

HINT: Your "mood" for that late night dinner will easily change between now and then. It's Vegas after all.

I think the biggest problem with GR's Pub is people expect a Steak House or more upscale. This is a pub with pub fare and is not bad. Have eaten at both and is pretty even for more variety try GR's. .....Rick

I love Cafe Americano for breakfast, but they do have
lunch and dinner items also. I have eaten there several
times and have always enjoyed it - plus I have never had
bad food there. Service was quick, pleasant atmosphere,
and food was good. They have an excellent corn beef
on rye. Salads are good too.

The Pub on the other hand has been hit and miss for me. I ordered
a burger there once and asked for it to be well done. They brought
me out a meat patty by itself on a plate When I asked the waiter
where my burger was - he said - Oh I thought you just ordered the meat by
itself. ??? Then he proceeded to walk off - I said - I wanted a whole burger
and he just stared at me like I had asked for his first born. My friends busted
out laughing at his expression. I wasn't even rude - just asking.

Another time - my friend got the burger and it was
not cooked at all in the middle. But then - when another set of friends
were just dying to eat there - our food was good. So who knows with them.
Like I said - hit or miss. I did sit at the bar once - and really enjoyed the bartenders and
had a great time visiting with everyone there. Food was ok that night too although
I did think the fish and chips were sort of like you could get anywhere - nothing special.
Not bad - just not special for that price.

Ramsay's was way overpriced and the food average. Burgr across the street was better.

I actually got a burger at the Pub this past fall and thought it was much better than the ones at GR Burger. I guess I hit it on a good day! lol

Although I like Ramsay (been watching Hell's Kitchen since the beginning), I rarely go to "celebrity" restaurants. I'm not going to overpay because of who's name is on the marquee unless he's actually doing the cooking. But I love love love the sticky toffee pudding at Ramsay's places.

Had the worst service ever in Vegas at Cafe Americano last year so we avoided it entirely this year. Not worth the money in my book.
