I always regret missing the opportunity to fly one of those old time gambling junkets. I’ve currently got a generic offer for four nights and flights to Harrah’s Laughlin in June. Couldn’t get any prices on the Internet. Anybody have any info about this offer?

The price for 2 out of DTW is 1288, my price is 688 but my offer code is sold out at that price.

Our current offer is $70 or $79 for 2 people. Covers registration fees, otherwise is free.

Go to total rewards air, pick Laughlin as destination, enter your starting city, enter a date range, and then your total rewards card numbers for up to 4 people and hit submit. Should come up with total cost.

Another option is riverside casino flights, which are $369 PP for flight and room. Once you go there and if you gamble a bit, may get reduced or free flights from then on. We haven't been there for about a year or more and still get free offers.

I was just in Laughlin in February and wrote a TR about it. The trip for my wife and I was $70 for the admin fee ($35 each). Everything else was covered. The nicest thing about the charter is how Harrah's takes care of everything for you. You step off the plane and right onto the shuttle bus to the property. They bring your luggage straight up to your room (about 2-3 hours later).

Out of curiosity, do you need to qualify for this package based on play? Or can you purchase it outright?

You can purchase it. If you go to trair.com, it will give you pricing without putting in a TR/CR number.

    Previous play just reduces price.

I dunno if you can buy it without being invited but I only have a comment this time because I was invited for the 1st time and I am certain that my last 6 months play triggered that.

Like stated above, i think you can purchase without invite if flight isn't full maybe, but at $1200 per person, why do it?
By putting your card number in, the price goes down depending on amount of play. And if there are 2 to 4 in your group, enter all numbers, and they consider those also. Example: If i enter just my number, price doesnt go down much if at all, but add my wife's then it goes down to the $70 for 2.

If it was my first time getting a charter flight to Laughlin and didn't get the reduced rate on Harrahs, I would do the Riverside flight for $369 each, and either gamble there to get offers later, or go to Harrahs while there and build up offers there. Why pay 1200 when 369 will get you there. The other option you may try is call TRAir and see if you ask them to give reduced rate or you will take competitors offer, if they will reduce rate.

The Riverside also buses you from airport across the river to hotel, and handles your luggage to hotel. On departure, Harrahs picks up your luggage from your room an hour or more before you get on bus, where at the Riverside, you take your luggage down to front of hotel, just before loading on bus. Both places your luggage is then at a staging area where you locate it and then go through check in and then TSA.

I usually make Platinum by the end of the year so my play is not that impressive. I finally got through to reservations and they quoted me $280 per person (nonstop flights, 4nights double occupancy) and knocked it down to $230pp when they added my wife’s card. Sounds like something I’d jump on, unfortunately the best I could do today was waiting list.

I got this offer too, which I was surprised as the flight is from BWI to Laughlin, which I can't imagine is cheap lol. I play BJ for around $100 a hand so I was thinking there's a catch here since the package seemed well above what I normally get.

The offer I got said free flights and rooms, I may end up booking it if all I have to really pay is the $35. Initially it just seemed a bit too good to be true but seems from what I gathered above this sounds like a very good offer.

I guess my question is are these commercial jets that Caesars/Caesars Rewards owns and flies just their players there and not a commercial carrier?

They are charter flights, we have done it twice out of Bellingham, Wa.......one charter was with Elite, the other was with Sun Country. I believe......
Go to https://www.caesars.com/total-rewards/air , and put in the info for your flight.....if you select a 3 or 4 month span under the travel between dates, it should show you the available flights and you should be able to see the flight charter operator....btw, they always show as sold out for us, but we were able to go on the waiting list and have always got the package...

The one I flew on went through Sun Country Air, which is a company that does a lot of these charter type things, I believe. The flight was decent, just as good as any of the lower price airlines, and we did get one free alcoholic cocktail on the flight. Bonus!

For the $35 fee it's definitely worth a try. You may get there an not like Laughlin, but if so, then lesson learned. Laughlin is much more sleepy than Vegas, for sure. And even though I"m in m 50s, I was one of the younger people on the flight. But I went to gamble and gamble I did!!

Haha well I may be the youngest for two at 32 lol. I'm contemplating this but the dates are a Monday through Friday on the offer, which may be difficult. I'm assuming I got this offer during the week as it's probably cheaper lol

Yeah, I would assume so as well. My offers have always been Sunday through thursday, or in that area.
Just be aware that in June it's really hot there, usually hotter than Vegas. I was there in June last year and it was 110to 112 all week. Now, if you like the pool and water sports, it's great! Harra's is right on the river there. They have jet skis and other water sports, etc. So plenty to do besides gamble!
