    First time i noticed this......
Arriving to hotel in cab from airport the fee was about $15 as we are pulling in.
We stop, cabbie preeses button and fare jumps to $18.

From hotel to airport, cabbie presses button and fare stops as expected.

I know there in an airport fee was thought it was already added at the beginnig.

    Is the "jump" expected?
    Was it the airport fee?

Maybe a dated answer, but $1.80 is the McCarren fee the last time we took one. From the airport, not going to the airport.

Not sure what the fee is from the airport but the cab company charges it to the customer.

It's $3 now that gets added. Only time I use a cab is from the Airport to my hotel, that's only because I cant be arsed walking over to get Lyft after a 10 hour flight.

Is the fee added at the start or the end?

I think it is shown on the meter as extra, it is only added on to the fare after you get to your destination

What is to stop cabbies from hitting that extra fee button on regular (non-airport) fares???

The cab I got from airport today added $2 at the end. Although he added more by tunnelling me. I'm going to Tuscany and he is going on the interstate.

He didn't get a tip and I think he knew why.

I use Lyft when in Vegas anyway. I only use a cab from the airport as I can't be bothered walking over to the ride share pick up
