Just out of interest, after buying chips, which I did, I got 1.5million first purchase offer for about $3, where does it show my limit has increased from 3 to 6

I am going to Vegas in 3 weeks, and currently have about 30k, but expect to have about double that by the time I go...so would like to use as many as possible, most will probably be on food/buffets....any advise on the 3 to 6 limit, but also any recommendations on which restaurants/buffet are best value/quality?

Also are there any drinks options worth it, as I see some are like 10k for 1 drink, which isn't good when you can get $75 credit at Tender for 7.5k

    /thanks in advance

It takes a LOT more to go from 3 to 6. The general accepted amount to move up from 3 to 4 is around a $50 purchase of chips.

When you are eligible for more than 3 MGM Resort rewards in a 30 day period, it will show it on the second page of the reward under purchase and usage limitations where it currently says "usage limited to any X rewards"

Make sure you read all of the fine print on those rewards. The Tender reward is 75K loyalty, not 7500 loyalty and it's $75 off a $150 order.

I put it to the test and bought around $55 worth of chips over a months time, got the 4th reward the same day I went over $50 I think.

I'm not sure it's worth getting the 4th reward if you only have 60,000 loyalty chips. Are you staying at an MLife property? That makes a difference too.

If I had 60,000 loyalty chips and was not staying at MLife, I would get the b1g1 Aria lunch buffet, b1g1 at 9 Fine Irishmen, and the Monte Carlo whiskey tasting. But if you are staying at Mlife, and/or have many more loyalty chips, you have many more options.

Keep in mind that you have to wait in the MLife desk line to get most rewards loaded on you card, so if your time is short, this can be a pain in the butt for some of the smaller rewards like free shots etc.

    Best of luck!

No we are not staying at an MLife resort we are staying at Holiday Inn Desert Club

What would you recommend for us to use, taking in to account I am expecting to have around 50-60k LP, I am thinking we would be opting for food.buffet, as I don't feel the drinks options are value for money....and we are not keen on Whiskey

In that case i would try the b1g1 buffets at Aria & Bellagio. I'm not an expert but i enjoyed those. Maybe the Carnegie deli in the mirage as well? Not sure what this brings the total to....it's so sad that i basically have the rewards memorized LOL. I'm sure other vmb would spend differently. Enjoy, whatever you decide.

Depends on when you will be there. Many of the offers are only good M-F or Sun-Thu.
The only buffet that I know of that is good for the weekends is the Luxor at 24klp (since you are not staying at Mlife resort)

Thanks for all your help guys, plenty of options and I am there for 10 days so plenty to chose between

I will let you know what I go for.

Just to confirm how you redeem these, you book them on the game, and advise your email address and then get confirmation, and then in the relevant hotel/casino you go to the MLife desk and then get the voucher redeemed to your MLife card, which I have from last year!

Re redemption - yes, go to the relevant MLife desk with the confirmation #, your MLife card and ID. It doesn't hurt to print out the email, too.

Carolinero is right... I've been to Vegas about 100 times & used lots of MyVegas stuff.... 2for1 buffets are a great value.... Aria is best followed by Bellagio.. nothing wrong with MGM, but it takes 3rd place. Luxor / Monte Carlo / Excalibur food sucks...... LOVE the Carnegie deli at Mirage... some people like their buffet, but I wasn't wild about it.

IMPORTANT REMINDER! Once you land in Vegas, you can't go to MyVegas.com and buy rewards w/ your loyalty points... the rewards don't come up once you ( and your computer) are in Las Vegas.... Buy BEFORE you go on your trip.... I learned that lesson once the hard way...

I found the $50 worth of drinks at the Bar at Times Square (NYNY) a great value. A buddy of mine and I got 5 drinks total before I needed cash...

Did you get some kind of voucher or just turn up at the bar and they had an offer on?

You need to go to the Mlife desk to have it loaded on your card. The reward has an Mlife stay required too.

Exactly....I stayed at Monte Carlo, but had to go to the NYNY MLife desk to redeem, and you have to use within 24 hours of redemption.

Just a heads up about the NYNY piano bar reward... As of April 2016, it was still an paper voucher. My friend and I went to the Mlife desk around 11:15 PM and they told us the value had to be redeemed by midnight, otherwise we would have to wait until after midnight and redeem it then so we wouldn't have to race the clock. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this later at night or if it was another one-time MyVegas redemption quirk.
