Mods: I didn't mean this to be a trip report, but I guess it is. Please feel free to move it. Thanks!

So we decided about a week and a half ago to go to Potawatomi this weekend. I called to cash in on a comped room but was told that they were booked! Ok, I can see that being the weekend before Valentine's Day. So it looks like we are just going to spend the day. We usually get to the casino as early as we can to maximize the day. We arrived about 10:00 am. The place was already crowded! My wife and I had FP of $15 and $40 respectively and then they also had promo where you select a "dream catcher" to get more FP. Wife got an $10 and I got $30 for total of $25 and $70. I am a DDB VP player and my wife is a part time VP player so that is where we headed first. I noticed right away they have some new machines. I panicked a little thinking that they got rid of the barely playable .25 cent machines that I always gravitate to. Luckily they are still there. Found an open machine, popped in $200 in and started playing. It didn't take long before I got my first 4oak.

Then I hit a bit of a drought. Had to eventually invest another hundo. Hit another couple of 4oaks to keep me going before I hit this:

Hit one more 4oak and then hit this:

Shortly after this, we decided to do some lunch at the Fire Pit Bar. Wife had a chicken quesadilla and I had a burger with onion and apple on it. Actually it was pretty good. I was feeling pretty good after the morning session so I told my wife I wanted to run through $100 at $1 VP. So we walked over to the High Limit area where they have 9/6 DDB. Only a few VP machines in the HL area, found one and started playing. 3 hands in and hit this:

I never expected this. I really thought I would be walking away $100 lighter and my tail between my legs. I played on some more and came away with $350.
We headed back to the VP area and we noticed that it was really getting crowded. I was a little worried about finding an open machine. People tend to not sit at a machine for long so I did not have an issue finding a machine. Found an empty machine and started playing. Hit 3 more 4oaks and then this:

Played on hitting 3 more 4oaks and then decided to use my $70 in comps. Good thing I did because I got this on their dollar:

It was getting late and the casino was getting even more crowded. I had never seen this place this crowded before. It was so busy that when we tried cashing out our tickets, all of the cash machines were running out of money! They were trying to fill the machines while people were waiting in line for them to finish. There were huge lines at both of the cashiers on either side of the casino. It took us about 20-30 minutes to cash in our tickets. We walked away about $150 up for the day.

    Nice run!

I wonder how much the casino won if the TITO units ran out of money!

We spent Saturday evening there and I ended up parking on the roof.

The WSOP tournament series had their Main Event on Saturday, and there was a corporate holiday party there as well.

My wife and I played bingo.... the 6:00 PM session went until 10:30. After that we wandered the 1st floor casino. I hit a $1 Double Triple Wild Cherry for a $200 win and reinvested all of it before hitting four 3s with a kicker for $200 on Double-Double Bonus. I left up about $150 on the day and my wife about even before leaving around midnight.

I forgot about the WSOP being there. That and a corporate event makes a little more sense also why there were no rooms left for the weekend. Thanks mjames for the info. Also glad to see someone else leave the casino ahead!

Thanks tring! There was actually one other 4oak I forgot to post. It was 3's w/kicker for .10 cents so that was about an $80 hit. 16 4oaks for the day.
