The board was down when it all started. Complete craziness. They evacuated a lot of Cosmo and are sweeping the building. Some have been moved to Aria and others are stuck in rooms or elsewhere.

I did not see that because I'm in nerd-monkey mode. Awful when these things happen, especially in our favorite city where we are supposed to have no cares or worries. :(

Damn. It's a bat shit crazy weekend on the strip. It seems like if there is one national news story event on the strip, it ends up being followed by more.

This is crazy. The hotels need to stay "open" in the scence that screening at a hotel entrance IMO would kill Vegas. It's also crazy to think someone is walking around a casino with a gun and they are not part of security.

And I agree, things like this happen in every major city but it is jarring when it happens on the strip.

According to radio station AM 720 in Vegas, someone was shot on a bus in front of Cosmo.
Nothing is going on inside the hotel. I've updated the title of this thread to reflect that.

    Looks like a city bus

Though that is still bad news I feel better for some reason knowing it was not IN a hotel.

Here's hoping all who need to be in a safe place are now clear of any danger!

Thinking of all VMBers and all other visitors and employees in the vicinity! :peace:

People in the city are taking March Madness literally.

Horrible to feel uneasy on vacation. Hope all are safe. Cops there seem to be doing a good job.

Hoping that everyone is off the bus and just the gunman is still on it. I love the duce and can't even imagine what i would do in a situation like that.

MGM Resorts says LVB is closed to cars and pedestrians between Flamingo and Harmon. If you're in Vegas, please stay safe!
