You might be able to get the shuttle at the airport. It's rather a quick trip.

There is more than one route but the quickest (an hour from mid strip) is....

SDX down to Gilespie @Warm Springs (N)

    1 min walk

Gilespie @ George Crockett (S) to
    Silverado Ranch @LAS Vegas (E)

If time is of the essence, Uber is guesstimating a $15 fare or so.

That is a question that I have been trying to solve over the last 3 months.

I know that you make your way from the Strip to the South Strip Transfer Terminal. The SDX would solve that.

Next, you want the 117 Southbound.

Supposedly the 117S pulls up in front of the South Point Casino. But it becomes confusing at that point, as the satellite map labels the bus 117Northbound.

I tried to decipher the rtcsnv website, but gave up.

Has anybody successfully made the trip there? If so, how did you get back to the Strip?

An hour from mid strip? I shudder to think how long it would take me from Freemont.

Done it several times. Yes, it's the SDX, get off after the bus turns just before the south outlet mall, walk across the street, catch the 117. It stops diagonally across from South Point, so you have to cross Las Vegas Blvd. at the light and walk through the South Point parking lot. You could stay on until the bus loops around, comes back west and actually stops at South Point, but that would add a lot of time. It's a bit easier going to the strip since you pick the 117 northbound up right in front of South Point in the parking lot. Also requires a mid-route transfer to the SDX along Las Vegas Blvd though.

Hopefully with all the development going on around South Point and beyond the public transportation options will improve.

To clarify a couple of earlier posts, for strip to the South Point: take the southbound SDX to the stop for the south Premium Outlets on Warm Springs just after the bus turns off LVB. Cross Warm Springs (there's a marked crosswalk) and board the 117 Silverado Ranch bus. Or, you could stay on the SDX until it gets to the South Strip Transfer Terminal (SSTT) and transfer to the 117 there. Either way, the stop for the South Point is the first stop on Silverado Ranch just after the bus turns left off LVB. Cross LVB and you're in the South Point parking lot.

For the return trip to the strip, the 117 stops on the South Point grounds to the right of the main entrance. Take the 117 to the Las Vegas Golf/Town Square stop and transfer to the SDX.
