For the last several years I've been a RTC bus go'er while on vacation; staying on Fremont Street. There are a lot of outskirt casinos that I'm interested in visiting without it being too time consuming waiting for transfers. So I looked at the map and made a report of direct routes from downtown to casinos:

    113:. Jerry's Nugget, Silver Nugget.
    DVX:. Cannery.
106:. Fiesta, Texas Station, Santa Fe.
HDX: Sunset Station, Fiesta Henderson, Eldorado.
    WAX:. Rampart, Suncoast.
BHX:. Boulder Station, Arizona Charlie's, Sam's Town, Longhorn, Eastside Cannery, Jokers Wild.

I'm interested in your comments and experiences. Out of this list I've gone to Sam's, B.station, and longhorn on BHX. It was really fun the first time and so-so the next time. Sam's was hopping the first time and like a morge with a broken grizzly bear and crabby bartender the next. Longhorn last year had a fun BJ game with know it all dealer and no drink service. We want to play bingo and I hear Jerry's is good for that. What else? Looking to use my coupons, see something interesting, and play BJ and VP.

We have been to all of these casinos many times and enjoy going to them sometime for coupon runs some times because we just like the casino. Jerrys Nugget great bingo and café, love the sports book better odds on parleys live Keno and a nice selection of vp and slots, low table mins on table games with good rules, only 2x odds on craps but have the small and tall side bet. Silver nugget only BJ and tables open at 4:00 pm low min of $1.00 to $3.00 ok selection of vp and slots they have bowling but the Western Grill Café is the best thing about the place great food and its really cheap we think it is the best casino café in vegas if your going to these 2 check out the Poker Palace, Bighorn, and the Lucky Club these are mostly slot/vp joints but they all have cheap bj with good rules a very good cafes and good drink service at the Lucky Club. We love the Cannery low min tables excellent selection of vp/slots very good buffet, movie theater nice bingo room and we really enjoy the music they play on the floor, also the Alleante is up that way this it a very fancy casino with movies, bingo, and good low min gamming and a excellent selection of table games and slots and vp are favorite spot is the ETA lounge in the middle of the casino. Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station, and the Santa Fe Station are all very large locals casinos with movie theaters and bingo many restaurant choices and lots of low min tables and slots/vp we think the Santa Fe Station has the best bingo hall in vegas also there is ice skating at Fiesta Rancho. Sunset Station, Fiesta Rancho these are about like the last 3 with Sunset Station being the nicer of the 2, Eldorado is just a slot joint and bingo if your going to this 1 you should also check out the Green Valley Ranch, Rainbow Club, Club Fortune ,Emerald Isle, and the Skyline great café here and good vp small slot selection and BJ after 4:00 pm. Rampart is small but very nice good food choices, nice selection of slot/vp, good bingo, and cheap table games the crowd is on the older side here but we like it. Suncoast is a large casino with movies, bingo and one of are favorite buffets, older crowd but good cocktail service and lots of slots and vp also low min table games also if your in this area checkout the Rock Casino this is a very large and fancy resort with many food options and bingo and movies lots of slot and vp choices and a wide selection of table games. Boulder Station large casino low min tables good solts and vp nice buffet has movies and bingo next Arizona Charlies Boulder the Arizona Charlies on Decatur is better good cafés low table min nice selection of slots and vp we do not like there buffets the best hing is there 24hr bingo. Sams Town bingo , movies older crowd low min on table games buffet ok other choice for food meh. Longhorn cheap beer good café small slot/vp selection BJ with low min and great rules. Eastside Cannery this was are favorite casino but boyd bought it and ruined it low min tables not open all night anymore closed bingo 1 café it is good but know other choices still good slot and vp selection parking is easy because they have no crowd anymore yes I'm bitter. The Jokers Wild good little locals joint ok slots and vp mostly cheap table games get there early to get on the craps or roulette tables.cafe it also pretty good. Closer to the strip check out Ellis Island, Silver Sevens, Tuscany, and the Eureka casino for Fatchoy's food and fast and free drinks while playing vp at the bar. If you check out the trips reports from Mr. & Mrs. Vegas do Vegas there way, a wedding, a road trip. If you have any question feel free to ask. Mr. Vegas.

It is just north of Fremont street about a mile in the city of North Las Vegas right on Las Vegas blvd at 1821 Jerrys Nugget, Silver Nugget is at 2140 and the Poker Palace is at 2557 are just up the road. The Bighorn is on 3016 east lake mead blvd, Lucky club is on 3227 civic center dr, The Cannery is at 2121 east Craig rd and the Alliante is on alliante parkway I would group these together if in this area. If your going to the Texas station, Fiesta Rancho and the Santa Fe Station you should start at Arizona Charlies on Decatur it runs right up to Rancho drive that these other ones are on. Rampart, Suncoast, Red Rock are out in Summerlin go to these at the same time. Next Boulder Station, Arizona Charlies Boulder, Sam's Town, Eastside Cannery, Longhorn are all on the Boulder Highway and would be a good grouping the Skyline and Jokers Wild are also on the Boulder Hwy, Rainbow Club, Eldorado, Emerald Isle, Club Fortune are in Henderson as is the Sunset Station, Green Valley Ranch, and Fiesta Henderson, on the south side of Henderson the Railroad Pass casino is nice good food and low table mins nice vp and slot selection oldest continues operating casino in Nevada and just down the road in Boulder City is the Hoover Dam Lodge nice size casino, bingo and food options. Hope this helps.

We drive to vegas most of the time if we fly we rent a car, only one of us drinks on these trips to other casinos. The way we do vegas a car is a must and we feel we always get are moneys worth from the rental cars. we tend to go to vegas for 7 -11 days and just relax and don't try to do to much in 1 day. If you don't drink or have a sober driver a rental car is the best way to go, vegas is actually very easy to drive in for a large city I think.

That would be a downside for me. Part of the enjoyment of vacation for me is not having to drive and worry about a car. How are the neighborhoods? Too sketchy to be hanging around bus stops? How about walking distance to the casinos from bus stops? I'm mainly looking at the ones listed above; direct routes from Fremont Street.

WAX in the other direction stops at Tropicana and the Strip. You can add all of those casinos in that area: Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, NYNY, Park, MGM, Tropicana, Hooters.

If you follow my upcoming TR, I’ll 100% be doing the WAX to Suncoast/Rampart, and the BHX down to Water Street in Henderson (both from downtown). Likely also 113 up to Silver Nugget, which is one of my favourite spots.

Tried the deuce once and haven't taken a bus sense so do not know about bus stops but I would try to see the casinos in North Las Vegas in the day light hours any of the others anytime should be fine.

I too, like utilizing the bus service. The trip planner at the bottom of this link https://www.rtcsnv.com/transit/how-to-ride/ can give you some other options depending on your level of patience and willingness to walk a bit.

2nd the WAX to Trop as a fast ride. Hooters is a must w/ free play coupons and 10 BOGO wings. Started hitting a wall @ 17 but I finished them. Thanks for the tips/ feedback and look forward to the report NFC. Also a must for me is Orleans, gold coast, ellis island, and palms. Also figured day time is the right time for certain areas. Am I going overboard if I dress like a creep so people leave me alone near residential areas? Like if I wear a sleeveless hoodie with hood up and strings pulled, sunglasses, and chewing on a hunk of jerky?
