Breeze, sorry to hear about this, wishing you a speedy recovery!

I like Cousin's advice regarding a knee scooter.

So, I gotta know, did you land any Rockfish/Striped Bass from the Chesapeake?

Terrible news. I hope you have a fast and complete recovery. It sucks to be immobilized. Summer of 14, I fell off a ladder and broke my tibia into 5 pieces. Two hours worth of surgery left me with two metal plates and eleven screws holding my leg together. Spent the next 6 months on crutches. The one bright side for you is you will be able to catch up on all sorts of things you have been putting off as long as you can do them sitting down. Good Luck with your healing and rehab.

    Hope you feel better, soon.
    Pop whatever Rx you got.

I had a dislocated thumb put back in place - no painkiller for that, either.
I could hear the knuckle + bones GRINDING as the Dr. reset my thumb.
I think the SOUND was a little worse than the pain.
My thumb knuckle was down in the palm of my hand + my thumb was like a flipper --
facing backwards - up towards my forearm.
I can't imagine what your ankle looked like ?

    Boot or cast ?

I'm in a cast right now. Follow up on Monday. Hopefully, I get a boot. I have a plate and 8 screws.

I pretty much have all of the feeling back. There's no pain. I did develop a nasty rash from where the hospital ID bracelet was.

    One day at a time.

Yeah, that sucks. I was in a bad car wreck a while ago. They listed my ankle as a "main talar neck fracture/dislocation". The main bone in the ankle was broke, and all the way around. They had to put in 2 screws and wires. Also broke both bones in my left forearm. Using the wheelchair was fun. Could only use my left foot, and right arm. Luckily my arm never really hurt. My ankle on the other hand is another story.

Still bugs me when standing/walking for a long time. So, sometimes craps sessions suck...unless I'm winning. ;)

Get better man. Find a cute nurse to take care of ya.:wink2:

Sorry to hear this. Hope you heal quickly.

Can't imagine no anesthetic while doing the setting.

He said he couldn't risk the anesthesia. It was 5 hours since the accident and things were starting to set up. It really, really hurt, but it's one of those things, when it's over it's over. He promised he would have it done in under 3 minutes and he did.

I guess if there is an upside, no one cared about the full throttle curses and I can get creative. "F..., shit in a bag, holy f...!!!!!@#% was a favorite.
