You're making me want to take my parents for a trip, which I've been hesitant to do, lest they judge my level of degen..
Lock those winnings up and get some more! Or maybe a shopping spree is in order...
Did dad not need a scooter and find some pep in his step?

I was originally moved to take dad when we had an uncle on my wife’s side pass away rather quick. Same age; kind of unexpected. You never can take things for granted.

I also was a little hesitant on the degen side because my dad is a much lower stakes gambler. Even when he was younger. Dad not really judging at all. He has no clue how freakish everything has been.

Dad didn’t end up taking the scooter. He’s moving around fine. Just sometimes in a slow dad shuffle. :D

MrsD, my wife, was strongly urging us to lock up winnings. So unlike her- that’s usually my go to. Wouldn’t it be more fun to go to $100 a pull HL?

I did relent a little and switch our flight to the first out early morning tomorrow.

If he is cool without the scooter, that's great. The exercise will be good for him as well. Even with a scooter my mother is more mobile on her feet in Vegas and I expect will be stronger after she returns home post a two-week Vegas trip. In the past it was like she had fun PT without even realizing it!

During my first Wynncore trip I too was worried about my mom and what she would think of my playing but I would tell her about handpays and she knew four and five figure handpays didn't come with my playing 50 cents at a time. She plays strictly slots and I play heaviest with VP so she doesn't see my playing a lot. Sometimes we play side by side on a similar slot machine. She might be playing 1 buck or buck fifty while I'm playing $7.50 or $10 but that doesn't stress her out. She also knows that 16 comped nights in the Encore Tower Suites are not really "free" but are rather a return on my past and expected future playing "investment." I also don't get upset when I am losing but instead just take a break. I think if she saw that I did, she would be concerned, but she knows my approach towards Vegas, what I make and that what I bring I can afford to lose (and don't feel uncomfortable losing) though the goal is to at least break even and to return with my original bankroll intact.

How did that play out? 3 splits, a double?

My very first trip to Vegas was with my parents when I was 21. Stayed at the Stardust. Really wish I could have taken another trip with Dad before he passed away. Reading your trip report is bringing warmth to my heart. Thanks for sharing!

    With dad at PH.
Sat down with him cheering me on for UTH.

betting 20/20/20 three hands in- dealt king seven. Dealer puts trip King’s on the board.

800 something hit on the quads I think.

    then cashed out.

Great trip in many ways! Thanks for the read and the wonderful photos of jackpots! Seems like a trip where what happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas, at least money wise, LOL.

It was 3 splits and a double.
Dealer drew a 21 and he lost all of his regular bets.
    Could have been even
nicer, but not a bad deal.

would have sucked if he didn’t do the pot of gold.

Love this report, congrats on all the big wins!! My almost 82 year old Mom and I are returning next weekend for our annual trip. We started in 1987! She is slowing down and we only go for three nights now but we still enjoy our time away. I took my 21 year old daughter this past summer too, hopefully that will become a regular thing. Though I seemed to pay for everything for her. My Mom wouldn't dream of treating me......lol
    Have fun!

And out on the 5:00 am flight.
I was grumpy that TSA precheck wasn’t open yet when we got there. Also, my boarding pass wouldn’t scan at security. Had to go to the American site and get to the pdf of it. Weird.

Had the absolute best time in Vegas.
    Dad was in another world.

stocked up on stuff at the gift shop. If they are already going to drain my reward credits and do some discretionary, might as well bring home some Caesars branded merch. Apparel in there is def focused on the small/medium crowd. Found some things and some fluffy towels too.

Gratuitous shot of Dad in his new Caesars swag. Dad-you earned it!

Great report. Congrats on all the hits. Wish I could have taken my Dad, but, alas, he passed on when I was still in my teens. I did take my Mom a couple times, but a trip with My Dad would have been a whole different story.
