OK I have booked our trip to Las Vegas and always wanted to fly on the A220-300 so I found Breeze Airways that flies out of Akron Canton so I’m going to give them a try. Anyone here fly with Breeze Airways, good, bad, indifferent? I’m a Delta guy but Breeze is non-stop. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

I have never flown Breeze, but I would probably have a backup in mind. They fly so few departures out of that airport that you could easily get stuck with even the smallest snafu

I flew breeze a few times to Tampa and never had any issue with them. They are relatively new so they are finding their style but it’s nice for what it is.

We had a great Breeze experience in December. Direct flights from JAX to LAS and back for $275 a person including one suitcase.

Plus I always use a credit card with travel insurance to cover the risk of delays/cancellations.

I've flown them a couple of times myself. Staff is a little light at the airports I've flown from, so any sort of delays, its a bit hard to get updates. With that said, their Nicest seats are excellent, especially for those longer flights.

I flew this route in January and doing it again next week. I was told the plane was five months old. Very clean, plenty of overhead space, power at every seat. I flew with just the personal item last time but might try to sneak on a regular carry on next time. It didn't seem like anyone was really checking. I consider it my first gamble of the trip!

How full was the plane? I live in Canton but haven't taken advantage of Breeze yet. Please let us know how the flight goes.

Was looking at Breeze for my upcoming trip. Hartford non stop. Despite the fantastic price. Only one flight out and back made me hesitant in case of any potential cancellation. Would have saved parking costs vs JFK as well. Someday maybe I’ll try if I have more flexibility.

I would guess the flight was about 90% full. Some scattered empty seats. I flew the Sunday-Thursday itinerary. BTW, the return flight is never on time. Usually at least an hour late according to Flight Aware.

Flew Breeze non-stop from BDL 2 weeks ago. overall it was fine, the "nicest" seats were good for the price (we paid $405 pp RT) in nicest, flights over 4 hours get 1 alcoholic drink and a snack (pringles, chex mix or m&m's), less than 4 just gets a non alcoholic drink and granola bar. the cheaper seats get less, i think the cheapest just gets a cup of water (not even a bottle) unless you pay for it. There also is no inflight entertainment or WIFI so make sure you bring your own or you are out of luck. In the nicest seats, the isle seats hav a support bar that splits the bottom where the seat attaches to the floor which is kind of a pain if you plan to put a bag or something down there, the windows don't have that problem.

our flight home from las was delayed and there wasn't much notification. The app was slow to update the status, but i (i knew that wasn't the case since the incoming flight had just landed and wasn't even at the gate yet) after the incoming flight got to the gate 1 breeze employee finally showed up but never updated anyone until the flight was ready to board. The scanner wasn't working so they had to manually enter everyone's BP.

Overall, for the right price i'd fly them again, but you need to be realistic with expectations, don't expect the same as you would in first class on larger airline (which really isn't much these days)

Both our flights were 99% full.

Breeze has $29 flights from San Bernardino to Las Vegas, even on busy weekends like March Madness. You have to deal with their Thursday/Sunday timing though.

I booked Breeze for a trip next month out of Hartford. Going on a Sunday, coming back on a Friday. $450 RT for "Nicest" seat bundle. We'll see how it goes!

Get the "Flight Aware" app for your phone and know the flight number of your plane that is on its way to your departure airport. That's the best way to know what's going on with your flight as far as it being late or on time. In our case, our flight leaving ORF to LAS is coming from an early morning flight from CT to VA. On the way home from Vegas, our plane is coming from our home airport (ORF) to Vegas so I watch that flight for clues to what's in store for me.

We had booked Breeze one time, just for the flight home from LV and we were standing in line to check-in in Vegas and they announced our 12:10pm flight was cancelled. In our case, there was a tropical storm moving thru our home destination (ORF) so I was aware we were at risk. The cancellation was due to wind conditions in Norfolk....it was a pain in the ass but understandable. They re-booked us for the next morning but we had obviously already checked out of our hotel. At that point I really didn't want to Uber back to the hotel and probably pay thru the nose for a last minute room so I scrambled on my Delta app and found us a flight home that same day, leaving about 3pm. They refunded my money even though I had turned down the re-booked flight so I thought that was pretty fair of them. My recommendation (because they only have one flight/day in most cases) is have a back up plan. In our case, we fly Delta a lot and have a lot of points with them from our Delta/AMEX card so I can try and find a back up flight, book it with miles and then if all goes well on Breeze, cancel my Delta flight and the points just drop back into my account. Delta lets you cancel right up to when the flight departs. If my departure flight from ORF got cancelled, I can obviously just go back home.

All that said, we have Breeze scheduled for our April trip to Vegas so I'm very interested to see how all of your experiences go. Pretty good pricing for 1st class and they're NS flights both directions. Good luck and fly safe!

Yeah that's def. a solid tip. I have about $150 worth of Breeze credit I need to use. Prices seem a bit high for the summer, but keeping an eye out as their prices seem to drop a bit when the dates get closer. Really liked their first class product.

I looked at Breeze out of CAK and I liked the price and schedule. Spirit leaves CLE way too early or late for my tastes so I think I'll book Breeze next time.

    I'm in central CT - Wallingford/Meriden area.

I'll defintely report back on Breeze. I did receive one notification last week that there was a schedule change for my flight... but it's just departing 10 minutes earlier now. We'll see how it goes.

I have a friend in my area that used Breeze to go to LV a few months ago and said it was great to fly NS again (we used to have NS flights on SW). He did say the trip home was delayed about 3 1/2 hours leaving which is why I'm definitely going to use the Flight Aware app to watch the incoming flight to LV that will be our return flight coming home. I don't mind it being late but I'd rather hang out at the hotel casino for a few extra hours instead of sitting at LAS.

Good luck. I’ll wait to hear. I’m down in the Danbury/Norwalk area. I’m about equidistant to Bradley and JFK.
