These are both defined as "Win Percentage" in the gaming board revenue report, but these are calculated in two COMPLETELY different ways and should NOT be directly compared.

Table Game Win Percentage = Money won by Table / Chips bought at table x 100%

Slot/VP Win Percentage = Money won by device / Amount wagered on device x 100%

The chips bought at the table tells nothing about how much was wagered at the table. But unless they start using RFID chips or other electronic wagering systems, that's the best they can measure tables for now.

Now if we measured the slot/VP floor the same way by: Money won by device / Money inserted into device... then you will get numbers likely approaching 30%!

Where the heck is that game at Bally’s? I play deuces a lot, and I’d like to know where to avoid.

It was on their 100-coin single line game that ranged from pennies to dimes. Dimes!!! Some sucker max bet it when I took a pic.

Most games on that machine suck, but I think they did offer 6/5 Super DDB (97.69%), often CETs best game at lower limits.

So why not get rid of all single and double deck BJ? Company has to make money as you say. Also, Poker should go as well. The rake doesn't cover the cost of all that real estate when it could be all slots.

I think Boyd is trying to say "Hey, we aren't a bad company. We're a stupid company. We don't think things out before we act."

Way to take a discussion on the rate of tier point accrual and flip it to what games casinos should get rid of. I said nothing of getting rid of anything.

Boyd has very little live poker, and their comp rates match the (low) industry standard, I am not sure if they poker even accrues tier points. All casinos rate table games (especially low-limit blackjack) very low compared to slots.

my next trip is in march-----I barely retained my sapphire standing last sept when I had 4 comp nites at mss------had 690 tier points coming in ,played 25c full-pay vp for 8 hrs a day----wound up with 845 tier points-----maintained my sapphire for my coming trip in march when I will get 3 comp nites-at mss

unless things change between now and march the plan will be not to play at any boyd properties taking the free rooms and using up my comps at mss

will try to get established at another downtown property that has full-pay vp and gives decent room comps-----from what others have posted the top play appears to be the D and golden gate followed by the plaza-----

had been getting free rooms and food comps at mss for over 15 years playing full-pay games----was good while it lasted-----looks like time to move unless the current system is changed which is doubtful-----

am 75 yrs young----been going to vegas twice a year for 50 years------the last 25 yrs have not paid for airfare, rooms or food-----play the credit card game for the free airfare if I couldn't get a volunteer bump-----looks like I may be headed to retirement

At the moment four queens downtown still looks fairly promising.

And well done playing the game for so long. So many comped vacations on full pay vp and gaming airline credit cards is no small feat!

    Hey Now!
I too filled out the survey after my trip in Oct/Nov and laid it all out.
I never heard back from them.
By the way, I am still working on the TR from the trip. Hopefully it will be finished soon.

I hear their upcoming 'Titanium in training program' promotional t-shirt features a snipe taming a wild unicorn.

Actually, it’s a polyester blazer. Looks kind of classy to go with that snazzy “onyx gift” from a “luxury fifth avenue jeweller”

Your whole point was we aren't thinking like a company. If I put on my company thinking hat on how to increase profit and still throw in a few nights and food to the sheeple. All slots would make sense, no?

The tee shirt is incredibly dumb.

"HEY LOOK AT ME EVERYONE! I'M A LOW ROLLER STRUGGLING FOR MY FIRST COMP!!!"

Don't we all want to project this image to the world? Yeah, me neither.

I real head shaker that actually makes me worried for Boyd.
