Just wondering.....looking at a trip in April and wondering what sort of play warrants free rooms at MSS? What sort of point total warrants a free room of any sort?

Unless you are from Hawaii, or a local, or your name is Joe, tough to get free rooms at MSS.
Other off-strip Boyd casinos are much easier.

Throw about $5000 coin-in on video poker and you'll start getting 2 free nights...pretty easy...MAYBE the easiest place to get free rooms going...
 
I had to go several times while staying at the Orleans or Gold Coast and probably did as Tim said although it took me many hours whereas he usually just stops by for an hour or so. My pockets are much more shallow. But yes, at some point you trigger an offer and once taken they slowly reel you in.

Seriously, for rooms to be comped on the trip in April I would go to Orleans and play and with any legitimate amount of daily play you should get the rooms comped at least (regular daily rate type--not a high demand timeframe)'

Thanks for the info. I will have to spend some time at Gold Coast this next trip.
 
after getting sapphire and about 50,000 coin in at MSS(2 trips 10 days) I get 4 any nights $75 FP and meal books for both of us monthly(meal books are for all nights, not just 4 days). We now usually stay 6 days and get last 2 comped also with play.
 
Depending on your Boyd status, I think Ruby card holders still get rooms for $40-50 a night. You could pay up front and talk to a host after your trip for a back end comp.

how much are you talking about? Best to give numbers because some of us have a different idea on daily play. Eaglejohn said 50k coin in at MSS to get free rooms, not sure if he meant $50K or 50k points or what but best to make it clear what kind of play will warrant comps.
 
I would think if you played 8K a day for one a room is viable. Orleans has two towers with a "K"'layout and lots of rooms to fill so,it is not downtown by any standard. I would go talk with a host upon checking in to ascertain what is what and go from there. Very relaxed and non pressured in my experience.

Thanks for the info kitty. hmmm, 8k huh. Nah, my budget is usually about 2k for 4 or 5 nights and I don't play the machines (usually craps) so that won't be enough for me to get comp rooms, I'll be lucky if I get a comp meal once and a while.

Maybe I have adhd or something, I can't sit at a machine for very long, especially when I'm not winning. I usually put in $20 or $40 and when that is gone I am out of there so hard to accumulate many points from the machines.
 
I have to admit, I do not keep track of our coin in when we gamble. We have been playing a lot at MSS the past couple of years and we are Sapphire. We mostly play on my card. I just double checked our most recent offer and from January to March, we have 3 nights comped each month. This is what we have been getting for a couple of years. I play mostly $.25 VP. If I had to guess, I think we do between 5-8K a day.
