I will be in Vegas Nov. 7th through the 14th. My friend and I are staying downtown at MSS. We arrive on Thursday afternoon and I thought for fun we could spend the rest of Thursday doing a Boulder Hwy trip. What casinos would everyone suggest and why? We love to play Craps and VP (DDB to be exact, but will play JOB). We will take the shuttle to Sam's Town then Uber the rest I would imagine.

    Thanks for the help!!!

Add Boulder Station and maybe the Longhorn (close to ST) and that's about it. Eastside Cannery is gutted aside from the casino which is not unique. Boulder Charlies has never been anything to get excited about and probably worse now.

    Good Luck!

You want to go during the day or Uber or shuttle it as the crowd that made Fremont street wild moved over to the weeklies on Boulder when the hotels on Fremont shut down for the DTP. Casinos are fine just the area around it a bit rough at night. I would do the buffet at Boulder. Sams Town now owns the Cannery over there so doesn’t really matter which one you go to. I’ve eaten the steak at Longhorn pretty good but liked the buffet better. There is a movie theater in Boulder case you get tired of gambling. Sams town has that mystic mountain show but wasn’t my thing but others might like. Think mechanical animals on a hill. I much prefer the habitat and garden at the Flamingo lol

Boulder Station and Sam's Town have full pay DDB (100.07%).

    Both also have 9/6 Jacks.

The weeklies on Boulder are where I lived when i first got to Vegas 6 years ago. You just plunk down about $200 and they give u keys to a room. No credit check no lease no hassle. There are a lot of riffraff types and If you don't pay your rent they just kick u out immediately. When i came it was the first thing I could get.

We always hit Joker's Wild when in town.

From around noon (earliest we've gotten there) until midnight they deal a $1 craps game, 10x odds.

Your opportunity to shoot dice with indigenous Hendersonians.

The DTP stands for downtown project which is supposed to revitalize downtown, They bought most of the weekly motels on Fremont street to clean up the area and are slowly turning them into apartments the kind you apply for.

Skyline is a good place to hit, too. They have a progressive attached to their 25¢ bartop 9/6 JoB and a decent cafe. Their shrimp cocktail special at the bar always hits the LVA 'Top 10' list. Weekend nights they have a polka band (yes, really) or a country band playing. Very nostalgic.

    Can I just move here?
    3 weeks. Yikes!

Definitely going to hit Boulder Station, Sam's Town, Skyline, Jokers Wild, and Longhorn. Will shuttle to Sam's Town so will drop in there to play DDB, then to Longhorn to see what it's like, next to Skyline for the full pay JoB with progression, then to Jokers Wild in the hopes for some cheap craps play, and finally Boulder Station on the way back to downtown. How does that sound?

Note, the Longhorn has VP and blackjack is their only table game. That said, it does have $2 blackjack and good dealers.

If you are going to shuttle to Sam's Town, the Boulder Express Bus can take you to those various casinos, but there is a great distance between these casinos. I liked the Progressive full pay JOB at Skylark the best, Boyd downgraded some of my favorite Sam's Town progressives (and their players club as well), but they'll have craps for you.

You can take a picture of the Boulder Highway version of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, no fancy photo stand area, just plopped among rocks in the highway median.
