    My Trip Report

We were hell bent on checking out the Borgata but with schedules we could only go down Friday 7/31 for one night. Not to worry we called and were able to get a comped king room last min.
I read Moses4969’s TR the other day and was inspired by his thorough report to take a trip. We left Friday about 11am for the 100 mile trek. Some rain slowed us but we stayed ahead of the shore bound traffic.

Observations after walking around a bit:
No valet sucks when you have luggage. Parking is only in the parking garage and even though it’s not a far walk it’s still a walk
    Temp checks and masks 100%
Table limits were mostly all at the $5 min. Did see some larger amounts too but everything including 1 BJ table had a $5 option
If you don’t have a room finding a place to eat your food is tough. No food or beverages or smoking allowed anywhere on the casino floor. Olivia had a water bottle in her purse and at one point security saw it and asked her to throw it away.
Bathrooms were immaculate. I mean like either no one uses them or they have a crack crew cause they were spotless!
All the employees I interacted with were so nice. All happy to be there. Not a one complained.
Overall under the circumstances it was a win on Borgata’s part. They do deliver on the guest experience they talk so much about.

    Now on to the gambling....

    4 more hands after that...

Then I had a lull. Maybe 15 hands of loses and pushes. The a full house...

A few more hands at $10 then I cashed

Your experience on the service front is very comforting to hear.

The water bottle circumstances are one of the few inconsistencies that seem to exist among AC casinos. I thought I read a few weeks ago in a trip report Hard Rock or one of the other casinos on the boardwalk was actually passing out bottles of water, but I could be remembering this incorrectly.

I read this too, @Flowers . I agree as well, it seems to be property to property insofar as differences. Either way, definitely nice to hear these TRs. Now just hopeful for the ability to drink on the floor so I can justify a trip up, but I doubt it’s coming anytime soon.

Dinner was the Amohora Lounge buffet. It has been relocated to the Borgata pool area with outdoor seating.

The food and service were excellent. It’s a steal at $25 comp dollars for 2 people. We easily drank that in gin and tonics lol
The people serving were each wearing their specific Borgata restaurant clothes for example the guy who carved the prime
Rib was in an Izakaya chefs coat and there was someone from the Bobby Flay kitchen running food from behind the scenes out to the buffet line.
Sadly you can NOT use the pool during or after your meal, I asked...

Ok. We sat out side the tent since it was overcast and there was more of a breeze. I wouldn't want to be out there on hot days/nights with no air moving. I'm sure i'd bake!
The seating was spaced out nicely and there was plenty of room to walk not at all over crowded

This looks FANTASTIC though folks are kind of close together in line. I assume an employee served all of the dishes or some some because of Covid (and negating the need for patrons to share buffet ladels)?

GREAT to hear. My post crossed with yours. I was wondering.

Borgata seems to be doing its best. The food looked delicious and that's a great space for dining.

Ocean was passing out waters upon entering from the garage (both entrances). Ocean also allowed me to walk through the property with a coffee cup in my hand though I have to say I didn't walk across the casino floor with it.

You really showed pics of how great the AC player's lounges serve. Every LV player should look at these. So glad to hear that someone has a player's club open and it's working out.
