So the wife and I will be getting in around 6pm next Saturday. We want to have some booze in the room, but we aren't sure where to get it.

    Suggestions???

Ideally someplace close and not gouging us.

    Thanks!

You can also hit up the Liquor Library adjacent to the luggage claim in Terminal 1 at McCarran. The prices are pretty bad but the convenience is great.

Yes there is a liquor store across the street. That said, "close by" & "not gouging us" on the strip is going to be a challenge. Here is the Yelp page on that liquor store:

    Enjoy your stay in Vegas!

(BTW, since you are looking at a 1/2 mile or more walk, you might consider bring a piece of wheeled luggage with you to carry the liquor back to the hotel in.)

I saw those reviews, they weren't horrible, and by gouging us if it was 2x or more the cost of getting it here at home. It's less than that so I think we will be ok. Thanks!
