I've never been much of a slot player, love the table games. After reading all of your trip reports, I decided to play some slots on my upcoming trip. I've read several threads regarding playing slots, bankroll, etc. Are there any good updated books I can buy online? I've looked it up, but don't have a clue what would be helpful, and what is garbage!

Watch some YouTube videos. That would be more helpful.

    Watch youtube
    Scan some sites
Read some of the questions and answers already asked
    then ask anything specific

Okay... one strategy. The higher the bonus, the lower you chances of getting it, and getting enough smaller wins to keep going. And, higher demon machines hold slightly less of your money.

If I were to right a book, it would say this about slots.

Put money in. Push button. Hope for a win.
    Wash
    Repeat

(really... that is about it, from a slot slut -me)

Well...honestly...there isn't any real strategy or much to learn. Slots are a pure game of chance. You either hit or you don't and the software makes the decision once you press the button, the on-screen display being for your entertainment. There's a ton of slots stuff on YouTube. I don't see the value in a paying for a book on a subject that, really, has no mastery involved. After an hour - max - on YouTube / Google, you'd be up to speed.

As others have mentioned already, slots are all luck, so there's really no strategy involved in winning like there is in VP. Although if you're trying to find out how the different slots are played, YouTube has lots of slot videos which should give you a good overview.

there is no strategy at all. that is why casinos loves slots because they're guaranteed to make money over the long term.

I concur that watching you tube is a great resource. Read the rules on each game you try. Then make your decision whether or not you need to play max bet based on that. Double check what denomination the game is when you sit down. Some of them have options to change denominations, and some reset to max bet between players, and that can be a nasty surprise.

    Good luck!

You know, I’ve never read the rules! Are they difficult to figure out? I have been reading posts here and watch YouTube. Guess that’s the best I can do. Thanks.
