was wondering if anyone had experience with this.

So my aunt and uncle are in Vegas right now and they booked 4 nights Mandalay Bay using the royal offer.

they also play MyVegas and wanted to redeem the $100 free play but when they got to mLife desk, MB said they cannot because the room was booked using the Royal Offer. i read the myVegas terms and conditions and it only says it cannot be used if the rooms were comp which it is not. MB staff refunded the $100 free play reward but told them they could go back to the room and redeem the $25 free play.

    am i missing something here?
    Thanks in advance

A room does not have to be free to be a comp. If they received a discount on their room rate based on past play (ie an offer), that is considered a comp.

I assume you mean the Royal Caribbean offer. I used that offer in June at MB and was allowed to use the MyVegas $50 freeplay.

They can redeem the $100 fp reward with a comped room but not the others, at Mandalay Bay.
Agents refunding rewards for people is annoying. We can do it ourselves! It feels like they don't want us to keep it and possibly find out we could have used it all along.

so my aunt went back to the room and redeemed the 25$ free play and somehow that was allowed...

I had trouble at MB redeeming FP- I think it was a last December. I booked through mlife on a reduced rate that also came with FP. I tried to load my stay FP and myvegas FP at the desk and the agent said I couldn't use myvegas bc I was there on a offer - I argued and said I was paying for my rooms, so she relented and said I could use on FP reward but not multiple and offered to refund the others, I declined. I ended up going back later when it was different employees and they loaded the other two no problem. Seems like some at the mlife desk interpret the rules differently than others.

so my aunt came back from her trip and told me that the second agent that helped her (with the $25 FP because the first $50 one was refunded right away) didn't even ask any questions just loaded it right away.
guess it really depends on who you get

We have never used the $100 MyVegas FP, but did use the $50 MyVegas FP with a Royal Offer stay at both MB (in July) and at NYNY (last week) with no problems.
