Book under my wife's name to keep offers coming in?

I have read concerns about once booked, the offers for that time frame stop coming in which I feel does occur.
As a result, we thought about booking under my wife's name.


Although we both have Total Rewards cards, we both tend to play under mine which means offers come under my name.

I do believe our cards are linked. Does anyone know if having linked cards have any affect if one person books?
Also, if we book under her name and I get a nice offer can we call and simply have them switch names in order to use the offer?

OK took out all of the negativity.

IMHO, with CET, you offers don't stop when you book. You just can't TAKE more than one offer per trip.

On my reservations page, I have 4 reservations BOOKED in the next 5 months , and I still have 225 offers throughout the system.

If the cards are linked, the offer should be good for whomever is on the linked account, but you'd need to check with TR to be absolutely sure.
