Went to BLT Steak a couple years ago when it was relatively new, going again this coming weekend.

The first time I went, they brought our table some small complimentary apps and desserts.

I'm actually not entirely sure why they did this....if it was because a couple of us were diamond, or because the place was pretty new then, or if they just happened to be sampling some new potential menu items.

Has anyone else had this happen, know the real reason for this, and know if they still do it?

alot off top resturants the chef sends out complentary things to start not uncomon.

notsure if this is why in your case but i have it happen alot too me

No they do that at times.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I'll I have TR credits I need to use does BLT accept them?

Assuming you mean Reward Credits, yes they accept them at the standard 1:1 rate (100 RC's = $1).

Yeah I was just wondering mainly for meal planning purposes lol. Last time we started with the popovers, all ordered wedge salads, then they brought these surprise apps out. If I had known, I would have skipped the $15 salad, was getting full by the time my steak came out!

BLT does it for diamond and 7* and the waiter usually says compliments of the chef for being a diamond or 7* member when they deliver the desert sampler

We ate there in Sept. and we had 3 different small bites brought to our table before they brought the popovers. We are diamond. I noticed the ladies next to use just had 1, so maybe they do something for everyone but more for diamond and seven star.

  • Sammy Hagar, Mad Apple - fun weekend with my niece!
  • Rod Stewart!
OK- how did you like the steak and other things you ate? I like to go to a steakhouse at least once while I'm in Vegas- have not yet hit BLT.

We enjoyed it. I had the filet, hubby had the NY strip, sides were the green beans and mashed potatoes. We skipped appetizers because we didn't want to be stuffed. I had a nice glass of Zinfandel. I can't recall if we had dessert that trip, I don't think we did. They brought us these things that I thought were cake pops but they were more like pudding. Very good. My niece and I are going back in May before we go see Journey at Hard Rock.

Yes they do. I used my $100 Diamond Dinner Celebration voucher there and paid the rest with my credits.... and left cash for tip.

I had the Bone-In Rib Eye. medium rare. yumm.

damn. I wish I knew that. I didn't make a reservation and just walked in the bar. I'm diamond but I guess there was no way for them to know until the end when I paid the bill.

I dont make reservations, just walk up to the host and show the players card, that way if there is a line, you get bumped ahead of lower tier or no cards and usually better seating

Travelzoo usually has a deal on dinner for two with drinks for $112 for a value of around $200. They allow you to use the full value towards your meal and order whatever you want (for example, the deal says you get two appetizers up to a certain value, but we only ordered one and were able to get a more expensive entree).

We went twice in 2016, both times my hubby had the aged wagyu ribeye and loved it. The bacon appetizer pairs great with the complementary popovers. I do not recommend the salmon. Service was great.

I've dined at BLT steak three times the past two years and had a great dining experience each visit. I used a travelzoo voucher one time and a groupon on another occasion and never had a problem using either one. The waitstaff have been excellent, the steaks were prepared as ordered and very tasty. They have a pretty good wine list and their wine by the glass selection is solid. I'm hoping to convince a group of guys that are coming out to Vegas in April for a bachelor party to dine here. I have enjoyed the extra apps with my diamond status; it's a nice perk.
