    My Trip Report

First off this isn't going to be a live trip report as this is a group trip but I will try to post a daily update.

This isn't my retirement but a co-worker of my wife's. There are 20 some of us coming either today or tomorrow. Most of us are staying at Delano with others scattered at Luxor, Excalibur, Monte Carlo and Flamingo.

We hosted the end of the year party at our house on Wednesday (this is a teachers group) and we rented a craps and blackjack table.

My 3 year old wanted to play. [IMG]

More to come later in the day. Have my sons first tee all game then straight to the airport!!!

Looks like a fun party, we used to have casino parties with home made tables. It was a good way for newbies to learn craps and BJ before going to Vegas. My brother and I were always the craps dealers. I could never do it for a living it's harder than it looks.

Good luck on the trip, will be interesting to see how 20 people manage to get herded at the right times etc. Do you have a set itinerary or meet up for just dinners or what?

We have some set things but everybody can do their own. Very loosely organized.

My son was rolling a lot of 7 and 11 on the come out. And a lot of 20's as he said.

"Daddy I throw the red cubes and knock the stacks down and I win!" Was also said.

Let us know how your group panned out during the trip. My wife and I are going on a family trip of around 15 people in December and really don't know what to expect. But we all agreed on the certain meet-ups and then do your own thing plan.

Have a Great Trip and Good Luck on the gambling!!

Don't drag the kid to tee ball if he's on a heater.

Day 1 Recap --- "And So It Begins!"

Flight got into Vegas early from Chicago as we had an older gentleman who ended up having some blood sugar issues from traveling all day.

Our friends who flew Spirit direct from Akron/Canton also got in early. We had a limo reserved and they came at the appropriate time but it was from another company than Omni. They subbed it out. Limo wasn't great but the driver, Mo, was awesome. He got us to Total Wine and Liquor where we picked up our order.

Three handles of Kettel One, two handles of Crown, two big cranberry juices, 8L of club soda and a fifth of peach schnapps (making royal flush shots)

Drove down the strip and got to Delano with no issues. Tried to do the online check in and it didn't really work. So we just checked in at the front desk.

Got our bags and booze delivered to the room and got the bar setup.

Had some shots of Royal Flushes and headed downstairs to get a quick bite (it's now 9pm) as the other couple that got in with us hadn't had anything to eat since 3pm eastern. We ended up in the Shops at MB Place and got pizza at Slice of Vegas. Got an 18" half pepperoni and half sausage. Pretty good pizza actually. Had a few beers and headed to the casino.

Pretty low rolling here as the tables were all full at craps and BJ. None of the slots were calling me until I saw a new Wheel of Fortune and the wife and I played that for a bit. Then we cashed out and walked around and found The Simpsons slot. This was pretty fun and you'd get into the bonus a decent amount. The wife put in for $150 and cashed out $650 after about an hour. Headed upstairs as it was now 1:30am Vegas time. Head to Boarder Grille for Brunch at 11 with 11 of us. Should be fun!!!!

The last time this group was together was two years ago at the Flamingo. Yeah just a little bit of an upgrade.

So just a quick update. The main part of the report will come when I get home, mainly because it's just been a fun trip.

Cavs losing last night really put a damper on things. But we went over to Luxor and found a $5 craps table that nobody was on. We loaded that up fast and nobody really got too hot. I probably rolled for 15-20 minutes and was the longest one. Didn't make any points but was hitting some hard ways and made some money.

Wife and I have done pretty solid at slots and are up $600 for the trip.
