Old Homestead for dinner. Got me an old fashioned for starters. Mixed it with the 12 yr scotch. I usually won't pay for a drink at dinner since I get free ones on the casino floor, but I will say it pretty dang tasty. 20210509_202430.jpg

Good morning Vegas. So a recap from last night and this morning. Gambling wise I don't think I could win a thing so pictures to share. Maybe down 500 or so, but not terrible. Old Homestead was excellent service and food wise. That steak was probably overpriced like everything else here, but it was really good and cooked just like we wanted it - medium rare to medium. Went to bed around midnight since we are still on central time so 2 hours difference is hard to make up the first day. Got up and went down to MAG and sat outside on the patio. Wife had the French toast and I had a simple eggs and hash browns. I forget how cheap this is compared to dinner lol 20210510_080150.jpg 20210510_080154.jpg

    Thanks for the birthday wishes!
As far as the crowds are, I would say they are close to pre-covid on Sunday. This morning so far they have definitely died down. Probably due to the California crowd leaving.

Wife has a pedicure at Qua spa in a few so I got about an hour and a half or so to kill riding solo. Going to hop around and see how the tables look. FYI at Paris the miminums were 15 on carny games 25 and up for blackjack, and I actually seen a 10 dollar craps table going. Didn't have time to jump on though.

Thanks and oh I plan on it. And as far as anyone wanting to know when Amafli is going to open.....I would say in the next few days. They removed all the outside curtains this morning and it looks really nice in there.

Would be amazing if it opens while I’m there next week. Wonder if it will be available for Diamond Celebration use. Thanks for the update(s)!

So I passed by a few minutes ago and they had a fairly large number of staff in there for a staff training. I would think that should mean most likely this weekend. Maybe they were hoping for Mother's Day and just couldn't get ready in time

Yea unfortunately plexi is still up on most tables and craps especially. I imagine they will stay up until June 1st at the earliest. Ceasars and MGM haven't got the vaccine percentage like the Wynn and Cosmo. Haven't been in those 2 yet to see if the plexi glass has been completely removed yet

Hells Kitchen for dinner. We both got the ny strip. Forgot to take a picture, but I can imagine everyone knows what a standard steak looks like. The waited hooked me up with a sticky toffee pudding on the house. Was actually the best thing we ate there. Screenshot_20210510-200949_Gallery.jpg

Still no luck on the gambling front. Down around 1000. Hoping my luck turns around tonight. Maybe I'll stay away from the slots since I keep winning a little on the tables, then giving it back and more on that dreaded Buffalo.

I just saw in another thread that Amalfi is set to open tomorrow. However, any attempts at trying to book a reservation have failed. Doesn't appear to be jiving with Open Table yet, as information on there still lists stuff about Mesa.
