Birthday at the Park solo- 10/3-10-6

Leaving tomorrow early, from the rainy NW, on Delta. I actually get a carry-on with Delta, so I may bring a few more outfits than I usually do on my Spirit jaunts. Parking booked so the Sweetie won't have to get up at o'dark:30 or stay up until 11pm on either side of the trip. He's staying home with the little kiddo, so he'll have plenty to do!

Staying at Park on a comp offer with a touch of freeplay and enough resort credit for one dinner. Last time I was in Vegas it was masks all the time; this time it'll be the same. I'm used to it!

Dinner booked at Bavette's; lunch booked at Milos in the new space; Bellagio Gallery from MyVegas purchased; Bellagio Conservatory; nothing else specifically booked. I was hoping for a Shark Reef MyVegas reward since that was suggested as worth the time, but it's still sold out, bleh.

Plans? Italian pastries and coffee for breakfast at Eataly, hit a couple Cosmo happy hours, bet on and watch the Seahawks vs. 49s game Sunday, VP at all the various bars (Park West, Chandelier, etc), BJ if I can find an empty table so no one makes fun of my strategy card, try some new slots and search for old faves (still hoping to find that Sherlock Holmes one....). Hoping to find some good draft beers to go with the VP. I may try to place a futures bet on the new Seattle hockey team. Never have done a futures bet, so we'll see if I can figure it out.

Pool time, catch up on my reading, enjoy the people watching, all the good stuff.

Probably won't go downtown since every photo I've seen shared here shows bigger crowds than I'm comfortable with.

Live updates? Maybe. Probably. It helps me keep track of what I did, lol.

Yeah, I'm gonna bet on the 49s to win (my growing-up hometown team!!) but rooting for the Hawks. Can't wait for Kraken hockey to start!

 

It sure feels luxurious to bring a carry-on roller instead of just a backpack!

The good-Siri successfully steered me around a freeway shutdown.

The bad-I wore the wrong shoes. Put on the ones closest to the door instead of the one’s I’d set aside for travel.

Easy smooth flight. Delta does a good job.

May decision point (Lyft or taxi) the Lyft app wouldn’t load so I got in the shortest taxi line ever, and got overcharged by a buck to the Park. Friendly driver, clean car.

Park check in line for a real person was short and friendly. Room ready, to my surprise, so quickly up to the room, change clothes and try the casino. The view is actually pretty fun, for a lower floor.

It’s busy but not crowded per se.

Easily down $40 on various VP games. Here’s the best hit on triple play. Tried that $100 or nothing-not fun at all, good to confirm I need pretty lights and video to lose my $ to!
