We've eaten there several times, twice just me and the Mrs. then again with the in-laws. Fantastic food all three times, and if you time your visit just right, you can watch the sun go down and lights come up. The service was just right...attentive without being helicopters. Thang is, when I go somewhere to eat, service and cuisine matter. Don't much care whose name is emblazoned above the door or what sort of theme we're trying to present. It is worth the price.

I played a lot at Binions back in my card counting days. Single deck, good rules. Was working a "real" job back then and played mostly at Binions on Friday nights (loved their seafood buffet up in the second floor) and the Golden Nugget on Saturdays and Sundays (Brunch with bagels, lox, cream cheese, tomatoes). Got to know all the pit bosses and was always courteous friendly to the dealers. Kept the betting range reasonable and was never backed off.

oooooh, binge before my trip next week (no matter how cheesy!). I've been on a tour of the property and the closed Mint tower so I'm curious to see some of that stuff and see if I recognize any of the employees. I personally love Binions so I have a feeling I love it no matter how cheesy.

Just came across this on Amazon Prime. As mentioned, much easier to watch with no commercials. Sure, it is reality TV, but some reality mixed in. Only two episodes in, but fun watching.

I binge watched this past Sunday while it stormed outside after seeing this thread. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and agree it made it look amateurish. I felt the same way about the one at GN The Casino or whatever it's called, which was even cheesier and more obviously staged. Still enjoyed them both though. Worth a watch without commercial interruption.

For the people who don't have amazon prime, you can watch it on Slice. Just google "Casino Confidential Slice" and you will see them pop up. All episodes are available on it for free. They are commercials FYI.

I finished it a week ago. It's a similar format to the one about the Golden Nugget from many years prior but considerably less hokey and contrived. It's still hokey and contrived but if you like Vegas stuff you're going to like it anyway. I enjoyed it.

Why was the GN series called? Would love to watch it. As for Casino Confidential, it was bad. I haven’t been back since I found it but can’t believe they never showed Bobby from the main bar! Best bartender there is!
