Trips to Las Vegas

Just got back from a quick trip through Biloxi, MS. First time there. Really enjoyed the casinos. Stopped and played at 4 casinos, Beau Rivage(mgm), Hard Rock, Golden Nugget and Harrah's(cet). Stayed a Harrah's (comped) Gulf view, King. Food offerings everywhere were excellent. (24 hour Steak n Shake in Harrah's) Everyone was very friendly. Of course I won everywhere I played :) Mostly BJ. I saw 3:2 $10 everywhere with some 6:5 spread about (watch carefully! Golden Nugget seemed to be mostly 6:5)
Got caught in a Huge storm on Mon morning, but you expect that on the Gulf...
Will definitely go back!

Glad that you had a good time. In a lot of ways, the gambling is better on the Gulf Coast than in LV. That is more true for tables than machines because of low table minimums and more favorable game rules. Of course there are a bunch more things to do outside the casino in Nevada but the inside of the casino compares pretty favorably for the gambler. Not so much for the people who like to eat at the biggest name celebrity chef's restaurants or hear that latest celebrity DJ in the hottest bottle club.

We got home on Saturday, also our first trip. Stayed at the Beau Rivage. Looking forward to going back.

No big name, but they do have some good food at Beau. Love the steak house. No fancy DJs but they do have two entertainment options on weekends and some other nights(?). Dance club in the back and a small bar up front. Dance club gets going but luckily nothing like the insane Vegas clubs.

Place overall is a like a junior Bellagio.

I hate the Beau...I mean I absolutely cannot stand it! But I must say during my last trip we ate at Stalls, Tito's Vodka paid for it all and ordered what seemed like 3 orders of everything on the menu for us...Anyways they slapped a couple of Ribeyes in front of me, already sliced, I must say this was the absolute best tasting steak I have EVER had in my life....And I have had many of steaks! The crust on it was amazing...Dare I say crispy almost, but the inside was rare...Good grief I am salivating just thinking about it.

Both tables and machines give you a better deal in the coastal casinos compared to Vegas.

I play slots so...

nickles on the strip, 91.84% payback in the Gulf its 94.68.

quarters on the strip, 90.59% in the Gulf 94.45

Thats nearly 50% better return!

Hey Now!
we went in Feb. and had a blast at the IP.

Down Around Biloxi

Yay I got a shout out! That is some serious BS about not giving a discretionary comp for food while someone has points on their card. It just makes me want to use it for free play before I ask, but then I wouldn't know if they would comp it...Or were lying to me the whole time. I like to keep my points for times when I can't get a comp, go over my comp, or can't find a host. None of this really matters now though because my home Boyd property (Tunica) started excluding video poker during promotions...So I quit going there.
