Thanks for any help. Which one would you go to if could only do one? Never been to either. Got comp flight/ stays to both. I am leaning a bit to Lake Charles as it is in late October and Biloxi is Sept. Hoping the one month will make the weather ever so wee bit more tolerable. I HATE humidity. But of course if I hear how wonderful Biloxi is I can be swayed. Thoughts on advantages and disadvantages to the properties? I do prefer a better 'experience' in amenities, gaming, activites, and food then weather. Thanks

    Thanks

Think of the Beau like a mini Bellagio. It is a beautiful property and the Hard Rock is about a five minute walk away. These are by far the two best properties in Biloxi. I have never been to the Lake Charles property. Keep in mind that September is at the peak of hurricane season in the Gulf of Mexico. :peace::beer:

Been to Lake Charles quit a bit as I live in Houston. L'Auberge is nice but not as swanky as the new Golden Nugget next door. Quick 5-10 minute drive puts you at Isle of Capri which is a total shitter. Golden Nugget is a much younger crowd than L'Auberge. Berge is still my go to spot, reminds me of upscale texas hill country resort. GN has all the signature Landry's group restaurants. Grotto, Vic and Anthonys are excellent restaurants. But like I said younger crowd which I tend to stay away from.

I have never been to the Lake Charles property but I've stayed at Beau Rivage many times and it is my favorite casino. All of my trips have been the comp air/room package and they really do a nice job with these. The casino is very nice with a good mix of old and new games. Rooms are clean and there is a decent variety of restaurants. Employees are friendly. I can't think of any reason you wouldn't like it here.

The rooms are all non-smoking. Their customers are a mix of young and old.

If you have any specific questions I will try to help.

I too have never been to Lake Charles - but the Beau is as close to Vegas as you can get.

I have only been to Lake Charles and I think there are more casinos there now then when I was there, but we also get regular comped room/flight packages to the Beau Rivage and really enjoy the trip. We gamble mainly at the Beau so we keep getting the trips, but we also gamble at the Hard Rock and the IP. The Golden Nugget is nice Harrahs is ok but casino is small. and I think there are 5 or 6 more local casinos. You are 90 minutes from New Orleans. There is lots of good restaurants. They have a shuttle between casinos and there is an Enterprise car rental office at the Beau. And they have a minor league baseball stadium across the street.
