Thought you might like this story ... absolutely true, since we actually witnessed it. While my wife and I were down in St. Louis last week for the White Sox / Cardinal baseball series, we made 3 trips over to the Harrah's casino. We were playing video poker on some old slant-top machines along a wall, and about 8 machines to our left there were a few Keno consoles. We were playing VP nice and quietly, when a gal started to play "Cave-Man Keno" down the line. You can't mistake that game with all the sound effects. About 30 or 40 minutes later, this gal started screaming, "I won, I won !!! How much did I win ?? I won, I won, I think I won $5000 !! " So ... I strolled down there, and see that she is playing max quarters, and she just hit for 200,000 credits ... and I point out to her that 200,000 divided by 4 = $50,000 ... and she goes bonkers, and screams some more. Now, I don't play Keno, so she explained to me that she was playing 7 numbers, plus additional credits for "multipliers" ... and she hit all 7 out of 7 numbers, plus 3 multipliers for that big win. I was surprised that she didn't have a heart attack on the spot. There were about 6 or 7 employees attending to her, writing up the paperwork for her big win, interviewing her, taking pictures ... plus a tech guy that had to inspect the inside of the machine to verify that it was not a malfunction. It was a real circus around her for about 45 minutes. Shortly after, she took her check, and headed home. Unbelievable dumb luck ... but it still will not turn me into a Keno player.
