    My Trip Report

slept in! apparently 5 days in las vegas is a turning point. made my way to the casino at 9:30, with plans to meet my wife at "my" triple play vp machine, which had turned into my quarter atm for the trip. sat there for a little while, cashed out up 20, and went over to the bartop machines, and ordered up a coffee and amaretto as i put 40 in the machine. before i got served, here were four deuces, for 200 dollars! high fives with the bartender, there was a shift change going on, i saw him point over to me. tip hustlers, but nice ones! played for about ten more minutes, held an ace and jack of clubs, drew the other three, another ROYAL FLUSH! progressive jackpot on it was 1586 dollars. while waiting for the payout, bartenders upgraded me to coffee with frangelica and baileys, wow! had to have a couple while waiting, played for a while longer still waiting for my bride, then saw her coming. showed her the irs payout, this is just absolutely amazing!

back to the room, after getting the other cash out of the safe depoit box, had to spread it out on the bed just to see what that looked like! then, how do we carry it? billfold stuffed, 2000 in her purse, ... checkout, check bags at bell desk.

breakfast at krispy creme at fitzgeralds. we still dont have them in montana, except when they are shipped in for fundraisers. down to the golden nugget, play the pre-preakness races, and make an aggressive play on the preakness, since i am on the roll. that didnt turn out any better than my derby bets, a high fly is still an out.

down to the golden gate for the french dip and shrimp cocktails, but without the draft beer, gotta fly soon. tippped the piano player and he did a decent job of muddling through let it be me, which was one of our wedding songs. yeah, im that way, once in a while!

back to the four queens, a twenty in my favorite bank of dollar machines, the magic was gone, and so were we!

regret not getting to meet mikey yet.
regret not getting to the el cortez or to wynn!

came home with 4900 more cash than i left with, and only 52 dollars on the credit card, cash for everything else, and bought enough good stuff at the markets to justify the business part of the trip. saw a great show, had some good meals and some old favorites. found the chicago brewing company and the redwood grill. no doubt, the best trip ever!
