Monte Carlo also offers a best rate guarantee, as does the Excalibur and I believe Luxor does also, the MRG properties.
Best Rate Guarrantee I guess I need to call the hotel to verify this, but here goes: For the Oct 27 to 30 weekend, Barbary Coast was about $460.00 Trip Res. has it for $330(ish) I read the best rate guarrantee on the BC site and it says that if you book a room elsewhere, they will honor the guarrantee. However, Trip Res. has a steep cancellation fee. Do you think if I called BC, directed them to the trip res. site to confirm the price, they would honor the guarrantee, without having it booked?
Actually it says: You shouldn't have to book with Trip Res beforehand to get the BC to beat that rate. Give them a call, and I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised
I stayed at orleans just two weeks ago and booked with them online for 54 $'s and then found it elsewhere for 39 $'s which I called and they honored after checking the web site while on the phone. Just cut and paste the address window and you can read it to the clerk. Barbary is tied to other Coast properties I believe. It is too late for you in this case, but I feel this is probably why people on this board (and elsewhere confirm) you book with the hotel first (and read fine print) and then you can usually cancel within 48 or 72 hours of arrival if you need to without penalty. I was apprehensive when checking in, but everything went great and the difference was minimal as you must pay for a full night's stay when booking and the reduction made the balance alomost (?) non-existant. Best Rate Guarantee Question Does the BRG hold up any time til your actual arrival date or does it only apply to the day that you make the reservation?
You have to read the terms of the offer for the exact time frame, but just about all of them are for the same day. That being said, if you booked with the hotel, then find a lower rate on their website later on (week, month, etc.) you can make a new reservation then cancel the original. Just make sure that there isn't a cancellation penalty before rebooking, otherwise the amount you save might not be worth the price to cancel the original reservations.

Orleans (pricematch) I just called the Orleans and booked(pricematched Tripreservations.com price) for 8/23 thru 8/29 for: $35 night Sunday & Weekdays $75 Friday & Saturday These prices were 25%-30% less than what was offered on the Orleans website. Hope this helps someone who is looking for a room around those dates.

GF and I are going to spend Sunday - Friday in vegas over spring break. April 1 - 6. We've done some preliminary research, and it looks like Aladdin is our best bet. Through costco we've found this: Air + 5 nights for $914 Will this match the best price guarentee (110%)? Is this a good deal without the price match? How heavily under construction is Aladdin? Can anyone beat Ballys price for Dec 22nd/23rd 2006? Ballys has an average of $104 for the Fri/Sat of Dec 22nd and 23rd which I am having a hard time beating for a Best Price Guarantee. If you've checked the big three along with Travelaxe (may want to try kayak.com also) and can't find a better deal, then that means the hotel is already offering the best current rate. Most of the travel websites work off the same inventory and price points, so checking the more obscure ones may not help out to much.
