I don't mean photography. Just fun ideas for places to take pictures of, pose next to, or do a selfie near. I am going with a friend next month and she loves to do those things. I'm trying to gather a good stockpile of ideas and places.

There's the Las Vegas sign. Binion's has the million dollar display (or at least I think it still does). Golden Nugget has the world's largest gold nugget (or at least I think it still does, too).

    What else?

The world's largest functioning fire hydrant is downtown on East Fremont (820 E Fremont St). Near Atomic Liquors.

Whether it's actually the world's largest or not is probably debatable, but it is like 15' tall.

There's a store in the Flamingo where the doorway has you go under the legs of a giant mannequin.

It's not funny for a pic of yourself, but we LOVE watching the purple couch with the phone (near check in) at Cosmo.

Twice I've seen someone sleeping/passed out, (once while a gaggle of Armani/Hermes-whatever purse-toting socialites walked by), and last trip, hubby saw some drunkie pants 20-something year old kid hanging out there, wearing gold sunglasses and an Aria Tower Suites lounge robe--bare legs and slipper-clad.

Something about that couch draws quirky sightings! But then that's why I love Cosmo, dripping with opulence and glam, yet also not totally buttoned down and somber!

As they say..."Just the right amount of wrong!"

There's also the fire breathing mantes at the container shops on East Fremont.
If you want to see the "interesting" people downtown, 4Queens has an outside bar that you can watch everyone. And, if you go at night, you can watch the band at the stage between 4Q and TheD.
TheD has the Blarney stone upstairs.
Is the golden Popeye still up?

Each property/attraction has it's own details that you sometimes have to look very carefully to notice.

@alanleroy had an awesome post awhile back entitled New York in New York New York about things found at NYNY.

I tend to notice things like that in other people's posts and TRs and then I challenge myself to find those things on my next trip! :D

It would be impossible for me to go through the legs without stopping and looking up.

I've gotten some very good photos from the top of some of the parking garages. Different views that you don't normally see.

There's the outside wall of the Stage Door casino that (last I checked) says "shots shots shots" - funny place to pose.

I always wanted to get a pic of someone feeding a dollar bill into the gold ATM. A shot of your friend in sunglasses going into a payday loan or pawn shop might be funny too.

    For interior pics:
Cosmo Chandelier Bar, also the 2nd and 3rd floors where the conference rooms are located (between East/Blvd and West/ towers) you will find lots of visually interesting art, sculptures, carpeting, etc throughout that are unique and picture worthy.
Bellagio - Chihuly glass sculpture overhead in the check in lobby, and of course the Atrium/Solarium.

    Sounds like a fun trip!

Buddha at the alternate entrance at Aria

Lego People and Lady Statue at The Park at Monte Carlo and NYNY

Elvis fortune telling machine on Fremont St

    Muhammad Ali statue in Caesars

There is a store in Caesars that has giant Dart Vader, Predator and other various statues for sale. It's pretty neat.

Large wooden penis shaped restaurant in Crystals Mall.

There's a large golden statue of S&R with a tiger near Mirage. Have them stick their head in the tiger's mouth.

Don't know if they are still there or not, but there were statues of Blue Men at the Luxor that you could snap a photo with. Looked lifelike.

There will be hundred of places you come across that will stand out to you as a photo op. Just have the smartphone ready.
