Ok, based on a conversation with another VMB player... what's the best high limit room you've every played in? I would love to hear about any invite only, or special high limit rooms you've seen or played in. Thanks!!

I played roulette with Larry Flynt at a private table in Caesars once. Never seen that many pumpkins on a table.. Nice guy, pretty down to earth for a dude worth almost a cool billion.

my favorite is the Mansion room. it's not private or anything, but there's not very many people back there either.

Which hotel might that be located in? I'm sure i could Google it, but would prefer to get first hand feedback.

While not Vegas, the Ultra room high limit pit at Revel AC has floor to ceiling windows that look right out onto the boardwalk and beach. Cool spot to play daytime.

I don't usually like high limit rooms but I do like the liquor selections they have!

The Mansion room at MGM has some of the best and friendliest dealers around

I like the Mansion at MGM but I like the high limit room at Mandalay better. All the dealers are super friendly and the players there usually are fun to play with. Most of them seem to be there for a good time and not take everything so serious.

Is this specifically for table games or slot machines?

I checked out the PH high limit room for slots and there was a limited selection.
Same with Paris. Really didn't see any games that I liked.
Ok, they did have the Top Dollar machine but it was the 3 credit machine and not the 2 credit machine.
Did play it this trip and probably broke even, but it was very exciting.

I would be curious to know which HL rooms (CET properties) have a good selection of slot machines.

From observation, the "better" properties (ex. Bellagio, Aria, Wynn, etc.) tend to have the better HL rooms.

Agree on the liquor selection there but I got the worst vibe from their HL room I've ever had in any casino. I think it was because of the huge windows. Maybe I'm too accustomed to not seeing the outside world in a casino, but looking directly out of those huge windows while gambling just skeeved me out. I also felt the whole place was just too light and steely. Makes for a decent modern hotel bar type atmosphere but I couldn't get into it for gaming. Plus for some reason most of the blackjack tables had reserved signs on them with a single person only playing low black chips. WTF is up with that? Even though hardly anyone was in the room I couldn't find a table to sit at.

As for the Mansion at MGM; I may be wrong since I don't play the game but I seem to remember seeing the mini-bacc tables in the front at like $25 min a couple times that I walked by. Could that be right?

It's been a little while since I've looked but there were 1 or 2 $25 bac tables in the mansion.

As far as slots go I think that depends on what you like to play. I think the Rio has a pretty good HL slot room. They have a nice mix of old school double diamond and the like along with some newer top dollar/wheel of fortune machines. They even have some pretty decent multiline $1 video poker.

I wouldn't really consider that part of the mansion. You have to go inside to get into the hl area.

there are no slots in the Mansion. the HL slots are in their own room around the corner.

It's across the way from the mansion but to answer your question the slot selection is mostly pinball / top dollar in various denoms from $5 to $1000. There's some video poker mostly multi-line /multi-play $1 and up. $1 versions of popular penny games but not that many, maybe 10 or machines.

My top three, in order: Bellagio, Wynn, and Aria.

I received an invitation to MGM's "The Royal At The Mansion" $650,000 Slot Tourney in Oct. If it weren't for my cousin's wedding (I'm in the wedding party), I would go! $10K buy-in, 1 in 50 shot at the grand prize of $300K. 3 comp nights in a suite plus F&B...
