Jus wanted to share a heck or a roll for myself. I was at Mandalay Bay and wanted to play craps but all of the 15 dollar tables were packed. Me and my buddy decided to throw at the 25 dollar minimum table. He threw first and hit a point and crapped out.

I rolled point affter point, bunch of hard ways and hit the bonus. I didn't bet but a guy on the other end of the stick man had 100 bucks on each bonus. I hit every number before I hit the 7. pid him 176 to 1! I'm sure most of you know the odds but he made about 35k off my roll.

I asked the pit boss how long my roll was and it was 38 minutes. Seemed like over an hour to me. I wish I would have bet better. I won around 1k.

Anyway, I figured Id contribute to the board and share!

The first two times I ever played craps, I rolled for 20+ minutes each time and cleaned up. I thought, this game is easy money, I love it! Now I feel like every time I roll, I roll point-7-out.

That's why I love to play craps. Never can tell when the monster roll happens, even though it's far and few between.

Most of us who got hooked on craps remember our initial monster rolls. It seems this game turns on you once you're hooked on it, LOL!

Yeah, I know one doesn't have to but if I was the guy who made 35K off of your rolls I would've been betting the hards and bonuses 3 ways- me, you, and the dealers.

    Everyone makes money...win all around!

On my trip last week I was at the table for a 5 # fire bet. I wasn't on it but I never play it so I didn't care. The funny thing about it was that the shooter normally puts $5 on it but he forgot to and realized his mistake when it was too late and even before he hit his first point he made a comment to the effect of "I can almost guarantee I am going to roll a 5 pt. fire bet because I forgot to bet it". It was a pretty boring roll actually. He didn't hit a lot of numbers other than his points and I think only hit one point more than once. I don't press super aggressive but don't flat bet and made a little money but not a lot. There were 2 guys on it for $10 and 1 for $5. The annoying thing was that the guy must have said about 418 times during and after the roll that he always bets the fire, and that the screwed himself. Trying to guilt the guys that won into sending a little something his way. The guy standing next to me had $10 on it and made a $25 bet for the guy when the next shooter started his roll, I am not sure if the other guys gave him anything.

Wow, how consistent were the hardways? When those start to hit in rapid-fire succession, that is why people play craps!

I was just at Vegas the end of August and got absolutely hooked on Craps. Never played before till this trip. I went to the GN and got a free lesson and that was all it took. The most fun place I played at was Ellis Island. All the guys were fun and easy to deal with since I was a novice. That's the only game I will play now.

It was fun and exciting. It was a fairly empty table, only 6 of us I think but when the guy hit the bonus we were all LOUD! He tipped me 200 bucks. I would have tipped more but I didn't care. I was happy to see it happen and kicked myself for not throwing at least a 5 on it, haha.

I was playing at MSS last week. Table was so-so. I didn't have much luck so far (3rd night of my 6 night trip), either playing craps or rolling the dice. I was thinking of passing the dice but something told me to give it a shot. Picked up the dice.....and rolled for 75 minutes. Hit a number of points but the strangest thing was that I was throwing the hard ways every 5 or 6 throws. Many of the players had red, then green, then eventually black chips on the hard ways. One guy even had a purple ($500) chip on the hard ways by the time I crapped out (I did hit one for him before crapping out). Being a low roller I only had green chips out on the hard ways (I started out with white chips).

At the end of my roll $500 chip bettor threw me three black chips for my troubles, another threw me a black one and a couple of others threw me a green chip. I think $500 chip bettor probably made over $20k off my rolls. It was funny because the pit crew normally keep 3 stacks out on their side during the roll to pay off the players, white, red and greens but in the middle of my roll they also had a black stack and finally a purple stack out there.

The pit crew said that this kind of thing happens once and a while and you just gotta go with the flow. They even allowed some hard way winnings to parlay (usually they take their winnings off the table). Eventually they had stacks of green chips from toke winnings, I swear they made at least $700 on tokes.

As for me, I'm a low roller, usually barely have $25 out on the table (usually $6 on the 6 and 8, pass line and maybe 1 come bet) but I ended up with close to $2k after upping my bets so I assume that most of the other players probably made over $5k on my rolls.

Too bad this didn't happen at the Cal where I could qualify for the golden arm, or at the Fremont where I probably would have been put on their board too. MSS doesn't have such a club so I just got my winnings.

The win helped me with my trip, I was up until the last day of my trip but tried to go for another score and eventually ended up being down a hundred or two or three. In the end it was still great, I paid off all my markers and I still got to bring home some of the money I brought up with me.

That's what got me hooked - first time I played craps I hit a 4 point fire bet where I hit several points multiple times. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing - I never pressed bets or did much with hardways - but guys at the table were making a lot of money. For me, it was no huge win, only had $3 bucks on fire, so I won a whopping $75, and a few hundred in total. But at the time I was a poor law student, and got hooked on the game. Blackjack and the other games just seemed slow and boring by comparison, and I rarely play them any longer for any meaningful amount of time.

I find those marathon rolling sessions are few and far between. Many trips to Vegas I won't get anything to speak of. But for some reason I always get 1 or 2 at the bubble craps games. Those are fun as well when she starts yelling "HOT SHOOTER!" Still doesn't beat the real thing, but can be fun nonetheless.

    Wow. Great roll.

Nothing better than being on a table when someone gets hot.

Thanks, yup it was my once every decade (or every 5 years) kind of roll.

Now, my problem is that I need to learn to increase my bets faster so I can get in on these hot rolls. I'm always afraid of putting a lot of money down only to get a crap out and lose it all so I'm reluctant to increase the bets until I put some $$ in my pocket first.

Wow, wish I had been on that table!
My best was at the Fremont last year. I made 30 rolls (they count them there) and my boyfriend made 33. We have tried to recreate the magic ever since!

My 50th birthday May 13,2004. Had already planned on what the bet would be and where. Casino Royale(with cheese).
When it was my dice, $5 pass and on my first point 100X odds.
First roll was a six. Put five Benjamins behind it and $25 hard six.
Five rolls later... BAM! 3 3

and about 10 of my friends were at the table and on me.

you could actually see the dust rings on table in front of the boxman where the chips were.:haha:

when i went to the cage the woman asked me where i got the purples... told her and she called the pit and i could see the critter nodding his head

my last trip in April-wife and I decided to go to Palace Station for dinner as we hadn't been there in a few years, walked around a while waiting for a spot at one of the dice tables-I will only play next to stick. prefer to left. spot opened up, had to wait about 45 minutes to finally get dice around to me (full table) guy to my left was shooting when I got there. wife comes by ready to leave-ok just let me shoot-

of course, I lasted over an hour and some change (three stick changes) and nearly emptied the bank (I would have liked to take a picture of the dust bunnies) -kept hitting hard ways, field bets, almost all my points were 6's and 8's so no fire bet hit, but several players had pressed place bets to max-blacks and purples were flying.
