I'm looking for suggestions on where to get the best piece of chocolate cake for desert in Vegas. Restaurants, bakeries, The M&M store, etc. Can be on the Strip, downtown, off strip, way off strip, etc.

Must be a place that sells cake by the slice.

I haven't tried it personally, but they sure are famous!

Michelle loves the 24 layer chocolate cake from Strip House at PH, so much so I found a way to have one mail ordered for her birthday from their New York property. To her it is the best all time, I am not a chocolate lover but she loves it.
Edit: There is a you tube video on this also, if you want to see it made.

Vic & Anthony's at the Golden Nugget has an excellent chocolate cake as a desert option - think 4-5 layers and really moist and good!!! A dark chocolate rather than cocoa based (which I prefer and make) but we scraped the container clean in the middle of the night!

I don't think they sell cake by the slice, but I'll find out. Thanks.

I don't see a dessert Menu for V&A online, but I did find a reference on another site to a Chocolate Mousse Cake. Is that what you are talking about? If do have a "regular chocolate cake as well?

It was the chocolate mousse cake listed on their their "selective dining menu" Excellent meal for $52 I'll try to attach. They have a rotating dessert option may be why it's not online.

The chocolate cake at the Sugar Factory at Fashion Show mall is outrageously good. The Sugar factory is excellent for chocolate in just about all forms. Also, Sinatra inside Encore has a chocolate cake/mousse shaped like Frank's fedora which is most excellent. Those are our favorites.

Interestingly, The Trump Hotel in Vegas has a restaurant called DJT that has Triple Chocolate Mousse cake on the menu.

Now that I think about it, the coffee shop at the Pahrump Nugget had (a few years ago) a very yummy chocolate cake. It was one of those outrageously-sized cakes and one slice was enough for our table of four.

Now I admit I never tried this next one, but Jerry's Nugget has one of those rotating pie and cake displays and almost all of them look sinfully good! The thing is, after dinner there, you will never have room for dessert. Seriously!

Yes, sir, they most certainly do sell cake by the slice in their stores.

    Here's a link:

However, I don't see a really decadent looking purely chocolate cake in the pictures though. YMMV.
