Staying there in a couple weeks, checking in on a Saturday. Anyone have any insight on the best time to check-in? Don't want to get caught in a line for an hour.

What time are you arriving? Check-in time is officially 3 but there will be lines well before that. Although Saturday is not a "normal" check in day. Typically the later in the day you go the shorter the line will be but the last time I stayed at Luxor (2013) we arrived around 8 at night and there was still a 40 minute wait on a Tuesday night.

If you are Gold (or is it Pearl, not sure I was Gold when I went last) or higher on MLife, you can skip the main line and go to the Mlife line which is considerably shorter

Isn't there another check-in desk near the North entrance that's usually pretty dead?

I have gold status with mlife an booked 5 rooms. So can we all check in at the gold counter?

I checked in at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning in January.

No line at the VIP desk. I was glad she didn't try to charge me an early check in fee and that they actually had a room ready that early.

The later you check into any hotel the more flexibility the front desk has.

Unless you have to get into the room for a shower or a nap, I always just check bags with the bell desk and then start gambling/drinking, then I can peek a few times at the line and check in when it's died down.

The taxi driver just happened to drop us at that entrance last March. There was one person there checking in. We were done in about 10 minutes. Walked around the corner to the main lobby and it was packed. It was about 1:30 in the afternoon.

I just want to add that on my recent trip I did have my cab driver take me to that entrance first, but there was no bell service available. This was around 1:00pm on a Friday. I suppose you could drop your bags at the main entrance and then find the tower registration area, but the main line wasn't bad at that time, so I used it.

For those that have used the North entrance, is there valet service there or is that merely for drop offs via taxi, uber, etc?

Aint that the truth, I honestly get great offers from them, better than any other place, but after one stay a few years ago and seeing the absolutely ridiculous lines at check seemingly 24/7 I just cant bring myself to stay there again and fight that madness for a few more comps.
