On a Budget, what Buffalo game is best for the low roller.

I have read these forums, and it appears for cash low players, it is

    1) Buffalo Original
    2) Buffalo Deluxe

    Then stepping up in risk:

    3) Stampede

    Next Step in risk is:

    4) Grand

Then major risk to the low roller is

    5) Extreme
    6) Diamond
    7) Gold

    It this right?

This is a great synopsis, compared with my experience. "Original" is what I play when I am doing the bankroll walk of shame at the end of the night (where I have a small amount of money, probably had one too many cocktails, still want to play, but want to maximize my play time.)

Deluxe I try, but I just never like it. Still lower volatility in my book.

Stampede is probably next up. I never win big, but others have, and at least I can run my money for a long time.

I actually do better on Grand than Gold, you just won't have access to the big jackpot on grand if not betting enough, but hey. I still can usually run my money longer on grand than gold, IF not betting too much.

    Extreme, no idea.

Diamond I actually had really good luck on what I call a "comp maker, " no big wins, but can run my money a long, long time. Just remember each bet has a different "kitty" per jewel, so time it right to get on when "riper" and bet lower. If kitties are small, come back later.

Thats just my two cents. What works for me won't for another, and vice versa, but hope it helps!

I may be confused. I think I am wrong, it is called Ultimate?

If so insert Ultimate in the #5 position

So Position # 5 is either called Extreme or Ultimate.

With so may Buffalo's...... how is a new comer like me to know any better?

I just trying to understand the levels of volatility.

Coming back to Vegas, and with limited budget, trying to understand Buffalo.

    Thanks!

I know everyone loves the Buffalo machines, but none of them have ever been kind to this low-roller!!

Play the original buffalo but try 3 reels at a 5x multiplier. This narrows up the volatility range and can stretch your money until you can get a bonus round

If my cash is low or if I want to kill time I play the original Buffalo's. I usually play 20 lines x 3 or 10 lines x 5. The multiplier bonus symbols with Buffalo's still pay at a low bet.

Do these Buffalo's roam downtown as well as on the strip? I am a rare slot player, but after all these years of talk about these machine's maybe I will put some of my $$ in....

    Buffaloes roam everywhere.
I think every downtown casino has multiple versions of Buffalo.

I see them everywhere but have never played any of the old/original style buffalo games. I might have to give them a try on the next trip. I used to low roll on the stampede machines and could sit for hours at times.

    Work trip turned long weekend.
    Second part, Downtown.

I would swap gold and grand. Gold can pay really well on a minimum bet and gives bonus games more often than grand (or so it feels), Grand needs $3 to be eligible for the grand, so too tempting to play high on it. I don't think I get as many bonus games on it. For me, I play gold the most and grand only when I'm up or still have lots of cash. No numbers of course to back it up, but that's my feeling. I play original when I am really broke because I tend to win, I just don't like it as much as gold. Deluxe and regular are pretty interchangeable to me.
