how many pools do they have? whats the vibe like? we love the mgm lazy river, basically because you keep moving... we are considering staying at the b, wondering if we will like the pool. We don't need the grinding party, and bass pumping music, but we do enjoy some music. Any info you can provide would be great! Thanks.
The Bellagio has several pools - one main pool and about three other smaller pools, inlcuding two "fountain pools". The fountain pools tend to be ice cold, especially when the sun is not shining on them. There is no "lazy river" or any sort of gimmick - they are just pools but deep enough to either swim in or just dip in and keep cool. There are also several large jacuzzi pools scattered about, some hidden behind bushes for a very private feel. The pool at Bellagio is very quiet and sedate. I don't recall any music at all being piped into the pool area. It is a gorgeous pool though and there is also a private restaurant at the pool that only guests of the hotel can dine at. If you want a beautiful, relaxing pool experience, you can't go wrong with Bellagio.
We were there in the middle of the month.....there was soft music piped in but a variety of easy songs.... A couple of times a group of guys came in and tried the throw a ball around and the life guard stopped them almost immediately. I thought it was an oasis of quiet and serenity..... something not usually found in the current pool party culture of LV
we were there in April the pool is very mellow but nice and relaxing. There didn't seem to be many younger people so there wasn't a party vibe at all. There is definitely music playing and you can hear it in the couple places we were without a problem but it wasn't overpowering. Service was very slow but that could be due to the large crowd there.
There might be multiple pools. But,they are really all part of one big main pool area. Quiet. Refined. Relaxed. Not a party scene. Cafe and snack bar for food/drink.
As others have said, it's an overall pretty laid back pool area. One main pool and several smaller pools. Last time we stayed there it was mid summer and they kept one of the smaller pools chilled if you really wanted to cool down. Nice cafe that is poolside, no lazy river. If you stay in the Spa Tower, you can take the elevator from your room directly to the south pool deck area.
