Hiya all,

We booked a full week @ MSS, but I was wondering what the odds would be of booking 1 weeknight @ Bellagio's last minute for like really REALLY cheap?
Like just walk in at 4pm and ask for a room...
(Just watched a video of the fountains so just curious :hmmm:)

Thanks!
Kris

Walking in will never get you a good rate, but using a booking site like expedia, travelocity, hotwire might. Just realize that the cheapest rooms won't face the fountains and might not even be in the main tower.

...and really cheap for Bellagio will be something like $99 plus tax and a nearly $40 resort fee.

A few years ago I was going to Vegas 2 days after x-mas and had reservations at Aria. Due to an impending blizzard here i decided to fly out a day early, so the day before I was scheduled to leave I had to book a room. I checked the cost to add a night at Aria then checked Bellagio, it was basically the same price so I figured I would try one night at the B then move over to Aria. I don't remember the cost but I do know I was surprised that the rates were almost exactly the same.

"Really REALLY cheap?" More like full rack rate if you walk in day of, and that's assuming they even have a room available. Unless you have serious status in Mlife, that is, but if you're staying at a Stations joint that seems unlikely.

Thanks for the comment all.
Just walking in obviously won't work.
However, I did some 'testing' with Expedia, hotels.com etc. though.
I could manage to get a weekday's 1-night stay in a 'fountain-view' room for about 300 bucks, all in.
Not sure if I find it worth it. Might rather spend it in the casino :p

Nov 26th until Dec 3rd :biker:

The actual date is often the kicker. CURRENT room rates for that period are from $165 to $399. Sat the 26th is $199 and the 3rd is $399.

If they have trouble booking, they may lower some rates. Just keep watching their site.

Supply and demand are the big factors.

But, as said, just walking in will usually be the worst. You have zero negotiating at that point - or at least that is what they think.

Also sign up for mlife online. Check the rates there. Sometimes cheaper than 3rd party, AND you can't get backend room comps on 3rd party.
