Wondering if anyone can tell me if there is an extra cost at the Bellagio to access the Fitness Centre. My husband would like to use the free weights and some hotels only allow free access to the cardio machines but not the free weights. Any help would be appreciated!!

I believe it is included in the resort fee.

When we stayed at Mandalay Bay, the cardio equipment was included in the resort fee but to use the weights, there was a $25 daily fee; we weren't aware of the extra fee when we booked the hotel so just trying to not make the same mistake twice :)

Its included in the resort fee at Bellagio. They swipe your room key to make sure you are a guest, but that's it. And its pretty good for a hotel fitness room

That's great news....is it a large room and do you remember if it has free weights?

Tammer - I am really surprised it was an extra fee to use the weights on top of the Resort Fee. That's a bunch of BS in my opinion.

Spicole, I agree 100%. When my husband went to use the gym he went into the Cardio area and was told by the attendant there that the free weights were not part of the fitness centre. Turns out the free weights are in the Spa area (which makes no sense at all) and its an extra $25 a day to use them because you need to purchase a Spa pass; the resort fee definitely did not include the weights but it definitely should for the price you pay. Now, I always make sure I ask before we book.

I am curious because I have not stayed at MB in a couple years, but they used to have two gym areas. One included lots of cardio and only a few weight machines and free weights, but it was free (it was in a room near the gelato stand on the ground level). And then there was a second facility inside the gym, which was bigger and had more weights. Did the hotel remove all the weights from the smaller room?

Yes UKFanatic, there were 2 separate areas when we were there. I think he said there were a few weights in the smaller room but they weren't sufficient for what he needed so not sure if they've removed them or not. Either way, it was a very strange set-up.

My memory is that the smaller room probably had 15 or so cardio machines and dumbell free weights ranging from 10 to 70 pounds
