I guess it fills a need without committing too much money and staff. There’s still a lot of places only open in the evenings and only certain days.

Great news. Will take the pressure off the others that are opened.

I'm glad its reopening, but am I the only one who thought their buffet was overrated?

No, I did too. But I'm not a big buffet person. I thought it was fine, but nothing special (other than the one time I ate there on a holiday weekend and they brought out some special items)

The Bellage should stick to their paper mache atrium and leave the buffets to the big boys in town.

In this town, it's the Round Table Buffet at a little place they call The Excalibur.

Did you know there's a dairy kitchen in there where you can get yourself an ice cold chocolate milk (in a casino cocktail glass) while enjoying homemade ravioli and chilled beets, straight from the coasts of the Mediterranean? True story.

Roasted taters, grilled 'sparagus and end it all with a soft serve cone...any type you'd like, cake or sugar.

I'm very excited for a early/mid-week breakfast buffet option. I have a Mon-Thurs trip coming up in a couple weeks and wanted a buffet option for the group. It will be their first week open so hopefully it doesn't suck ;)

I wish they'd reopen the Aria buffet. Bellagio used to be good years ago but it has gone steadily downhill. Nevertheless, it's great to see buffets reopening. I was afraid that they were gone for good.

Anyone try it yet? I'll try tomorrow..I have resort credit to burn. If the line is too much I might save it till later.

Never been. Had developed a reputation in recent years as having declined in service and quality.

    1) glad it's reopened, because I believe buffets are a big part of load/crowd management in resorts. No other venue serves the masses like a buffet, relieving pressure throughout the resort.

    2) it's just brunch. May not be a wow, but it'd be fairly shocking to see a relatively high end resort totally screw up fruit, eggs, bacon, French toast, and a few lunch and dessert items. And is there really a difference in skinny, watery, minimally-meaty, snow crab legs, whether served at a $125 or $19.99 off-Strip buffet?

    3) maybe, just maybe, it'll reopen better than before. I recall liking Cravings at Mirage 20 - 25 years ago. I read and heard it had gotten worse and worse over the years, so never returned there in more recent years. Just before Covid, late 2019, I started seeing reviews that they'd turned it around, it was much much better. Maybe Bellagio is better ... I'll be trying it during an MGM stay.

This is all YMMV. Sunday 1 pm, the line was long but luckily the priority line was really short. I was seated in 10 mins. Crab legs they plate for you so it was quick. Meats carved on request (prime rib, ribs, steak, sausage) were short but got long and longer as time went on. They really need more than one person/station. Go there first. If you want roasted vegetables (asparagus, carrots, squash, etc.) or salad stuff or precut chicken and turkey go through the line. The line for the carved meats blocks those sections.

Freestyle Coke products! I probably drank way too much soda for a buffet.

By the way, Sunday has less people for the weekend but there are not many open lunch places and the buffet just opened Friday. There were significant sections of the dining area that were empty so it was not full capacity so..... YMMV.

We went to Belagio buffet about 15 yrs ago. The food that particular day simply wasn't very good, both in terms of taste and freshness.

I asked the waitress if I could speak to the manager. I simply showed him examples on my plate, of the various dishes I tried and did not enjoy. The manager was incredibly polite and 100% professional in attitude. He agreed they weren't on top of their game that day, and he apologized. The next thing I knew, he brought me a yellow envelope that contained a full cash refund.

I thought that was a class response to our complaint. And for that reason, we keep going to Belagio. But if it's as bad again as it was that day, I won't hesitate to request the manager again.

In the articles that announced they were reopening they mentioned king crab legs. Did you see any while you were there or was it just snow crab legs?

That's the way to go, as far as I'm concerned. Any manager worth his salt will appreciate legit criticism. And every place has an off day, but that kind of service and response is the key thing, in my opinion.

My favorite memory of the Bellagio buffet was watching a man sit next to a large brown paper bag. He would go up to the buffet line and come back with 1 plate of raw onions from the salad area and 1 plate of croissants/muffins. He ate the raw onions and threw the baked goods one by one into his large brown paper bag when the table attendant were looking away. I believe he ate about 3 plates full of raw onions. I'm talking piled on. It was wild. The onions were so strong we could smell them at our table.

Sorry about that. Can I make it up to you? How about a muffin?
