    My Trip Report

I am not much of a Trip Report writer, and no pics. When I am there, I am fully absorbed, and don’t take pics or notes. I have a lot of respect for those that take pics, post daily, and write in detail...I am just not that guy. Below are notes and take-always...

    1. Mask wearing was very high. The mask police were patrolling casinos, and would remind people to fully cover up. Some casinos were better than others with policy. Bellagio, Luxor, Harrah’s, Paris..were really good with this. TI and downtown was mediocre.

    2. I did not see a lot of mask rebellion at any casino. Once or twice I heard the sheep comment from some idiot, but most did the right thing. Walking the empty strip, I would lower the mask to breathe, but when people approached, I put it up...others did the same.

    3. What is with these people renting the handicapped scooters? I saw countless drunk idiots joy riding in the casinos and along the strip. They were reckless, fast, zooming in and around people. Most had a drink or bottle in their hand....someone is going to get wiped out by one of these.

    4. Other than Saturday night, the place was not very busy. Not many tables running, but enough to cover the crowd. I like the space at tables with a max of 3 players. I hated the crammed tables with 6 players, so it was a nice change. The higher end casinos had plexiglass shielding. Not an issue.

    5. Many dealers wore face shields and masks. Hard to hear. If you like to chat with the dealer, it isn’t an easy task.

    6. I never felt at risk. There were plenty of washing and sanitizer stations. Most people were very responsible.

    7. Drink service was very good throughout. I stayed well-lubricated.

Still recovering...if I think of more or there are any questions, I will check back

Thanks for the info! How was dining? Did you find restaurants were good with spacing ? I am reading mixed reviews.

The only “real” restaurant I ate at was Sadelle’s in Bellagio. They did well with spacing. The group I was with out there...we drank and gambled, and picked up pizza or a burger at a food court when needed. Sadelle’s was my breakfast go-to each morning.

I did walk by Mon Ami at Paris several times...looked pretty crowded and tight

Was Bellagio Thursday night dead? We're staying there for a night before switching to Caesars for the weekend so I'm curious. A quiet pool Friday morning does sound nice though.

    The scooters!!!!
Yes yes yes. A thousand times yes. I’m a live and let live kinda guy, don’t judge what you can’t see. But so many were a cross btw bumpkins and crossfitters. They did not need them. Like... wtf are you doing you GD dipshit. They were everywhere.
One guy and his wife had scooters in the cosmo elevator with their 10 yr old daughter. Like a moron I got on with them. Get to the floor, mom backs out fine. Dad can’t get it out. Backing up and going forward 4 times. Finally, he just stands up, picks it up and carries it out the door. Says - sorry man. AND THE DOOR CLOSES! I’ve got my hand in there to stop it but it won’t. So now I’m on the way up to my floor with their kid! Poor girl was a trooper. Up to my floor. Older guy and his wife were waiting. We try to figure out the elevator to go back down. You need to pass the key over the pad to get it to work but can’t do it while the door is open. So the older couple offered to take her down and wait at the base for her folks. I should have gone back down too with the girl. I was in shock.

Bellagio was very low key Thursday night. I didn’t see an uptick until Friday night.

Thanks. It'll be interesting. Opening weekend even Caesars felt way quieter than normal compared to say Flamingo which looked like nothing changed. It seems like the more upscale places are a bit quieter overall while the mid tiers are a bit more rowdy.

    Nice wrap up!

    Re: Drink Service

Where were you usually playing? Bellagio has always sucked for me in the slot area.

I played both tables and slots. My first day, I started in the slots. Hooked up with a good server, as I had beers coming left and right. Table service was equally stellar this trip at Bellagio.

Best drink service for me was the slot section by the buffet.

Great report, thanks for writing it up. Looks like you're a Western Michigan alum. My older daughter is a sophomore now in Western Michigan in Kalamazoo.

Why these scooters (you're not the first to comment) are allowed to,go so fast is beyond me. Governor it down and see how much fun THAT is.
At the grocery store they creep along and getting behind one is nuts.
Someone is going to get hurt and with the signs that advertise "Hurt on a hotel's property? Call us!!" it is inconceivable a casino exec has not seen the potential liability.
Someone's going to get laid out in the one punch scenario if the wrong guy / girl is impacted ...so to speak.
Thanks for the report though. Good insight. And you did well. Read some of mine....Day 3 or along in there you wonder wtf is going on as the car slides sideways into oncoming traffic. You did good. :headbang:
