Drove up from LA on sunday, made good time with the exception of an accident just before primm that slowed traffic for about 15 mins. All driving time and stops included made it in four and a half hours. Arrived at Bellagio and went to the lobby where about 80 people were waiting to check in with 5 desks open, wait in line was about 20 mins. Get to the front desk and the lady tells me that they are sold out of Lakeview rooms with 2 queens(needed 2 queens because there were 3 of us) but she does manage to find a partial lake view in Spa tower for 30 bucks less a night so I take it, good thing too because you could see the entire fountains and only a small portion of lake is obscured. 7pm, get up to the room, 25th floor, and key cards work like crap, and would continue to work like crap the entire stay, Bellagio needs to update the card readers Bellagio rooms are nice, not as nice as Mandalay Bay or a New Caesars room but still nice, bathrooms are kick ass, you have a seat in the shower. 7 45 go down to the buffet and wait in line for an hour to get in. Buffet was 27.95 for dinner and had a mix of asian and american dishes along with carved meats and pizza. Worth the money but not worth the wait After din my wife and her brother head up to the room and I head to the casino. find the dollar slots and sit down at a Blazin Sevens and deposit a benjamin and win 150 on my first spin, the rest of the slots are not as generous and I leave the slots down 20, on to roulette Find a 10$ minimum table, lose my first four or five spins and then 17 hits twice in a row and im back in the game, I win and lose some for 30 mins and leave the table up 5 dollars....Take THAT Belllagio! go up to the room, card doesnt work wife lets me in mad that she had to get up. I hit the rack Next morning up early at 630 and im back at Roulette and after an hour Im up 20 great way to start the day. Wife, brother in law, and I head over to paris for breakfast, wait is horrible, we get in at 1045 just in time to eat Breakfast and then lunch so guess it was worth it, Vegas was pretty busy for a Monday even if it was Presidants day. Head over to the Wynn, Brother in Law (BIL) is a expert on Ferraris so we pay the 10 dollars to tour the Dealership. We end up with a group of people as BIL serves as a tour guide, he definatly made it worth the ten dollars for all of us. On to encore where I have a very strong Margarita, and then to the Roulette. Encore's casino is very nice and every table game has the feel that its in a High Roller area. Leave the first table down 60, hit another table and am down another 50 but then hit the third table where I make up my losses plus 200. take my winnings and we leave, thanks Steve Wynn! Have Dinner at Rinse in Bellagio, I have the double lamb chops, have no idea what my wife or BIL have cause I also had alot of beers. check for the three of us was 200 with tip included. Ouch! Hit Roulette again and leave 300 to the good so I call it a trip for gambling. Check out Tuesday at 10 am with no wait and head back to LA, no traffic going south but a Gnarly accident going the other way between two big rigs one of which caught on fire and melted the cab. All said and done Id say the Bellagio is in my top three of hotels. I was paying 150 a night for the room but if it were the regular rate of around 250 the room wouldnt have been worth it. Bellagio does need an Update to keep pace with the Wynn, Encore, Renovated Ceasars rooms, Palazzo and even Mandalay bay.
Did your wife or BIL have the same problems with the key cards? Aside from that issue it sounds like you had a pretty good time.
